Honestly, this is more shamelessly exploitative than its predecessor that it kind of makes the bad taste of it all more palatable.
“Bruce Lee” is back as Billy Lo, appearing via an assortment of outtakes from films he made while he was still living. His part in the plot doesn’t really matter as he’s dead (falling from a helicopter) in the first third, leading to Bobby Lo (Tae-jeong Kim, finally getting to play his own character) seeking vengeance.

A lot of writers here on Letterboxd have been more eloquent on this film than I can manage. It's a gripping drama about a decent man who is continually undermined by the systems of oppression he seeks to better. Rarely has a country so thoroughly reckoned with its own sins in their own cinema. Tatsuya Nakadai is incredible as our protagonist, his face constantly a portrait of internal suffering as he watches his best efforts fail him in the face of fascism.
