P90X Day 1

So after 2 years of thinking about it Lisa and I are finally doing P90X. If you have not seen the infomercial this is it.

Day 1 sucked just like it was supposed to. My ego was taken down a notch or 2. I was more out of shape then I thought and could not do all of the workout. Tomorrow is polymetrics lets hope it goes better.

A Wicked good time.....

Image
Brandon and I finally got tired of saying:

We should have seen <-fill in the blank: U2, Coldplay, etc-> when they were in town.

Not this time!

We purchased our tickets last night so no more 'should have seen' regrets for us.

By the way...I know we haven't blogged in awhile. It's taken us awhile to settle in and find everything. But all the boxes are unpacked (seriously, everything unpacked - no boxes any where!) and I'm ready to fill in what has happened between now and when we last blogged. So stop by soon and read what we've been up to.

Busy Bees!

We've been busy, busy since moving into our first home! Yes we still have tons of boxes every where but now we have motivation to unpack - our first Thanksgiving in our new home. It will also be the first time I cook Thanksgiving PLUS we will have guests! Brandon's parents are coming up and we will be hosting the fabulous Marinello Family! So I'm excited about this week.

In the meantime check out Julia Wade's photography website. Click here. She is absolutely talented with the camera and made us look HOT...no wait...sizzling HOT! We had the photo session a couple of weekends ago and some of the shots are on her website. We are also blessed to have her as a friend! (Thanks Julia!)

I hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving and we promise to update the blog soon. Until then...take care!

The end is in sight....

10/23 - Final inspection

10/26 - Home orientation/walk through

10/30 - Closing

10/31 - Refrigerator delivered and celebrating Halloween in our first home!

ImageAs you can tell from Brandon's earlier post, there's straw all over our yard so we already have Halloween decorations in place (sort of). Actually the straw was placed there to protect the soil and seed that was put down. Unfortunately the doves found out that we have seed and they've been eating and bedding in the straw! Oh well, what can you do?

The exterior of the hose in finished

Image

ImageWe have a Driveway, Sidewalk, Garage door & Front porch posts

ImageOh...And we have basic landscaping

Image
But...We still need some more lanscaping ot be done. We want to put up a fence and a retaining wall for the backyard ( I realy want a dog and Lisa wants chickens). B/c of the yard sloping in 2 different directions a we decided that it was to big for me to do as a first time DIY project

Who has a recommendation for a landscape architect???

The inside is pretty much finished also. All the walls are painted and the bathroom fixtures are in.

The last big appliance they put in was the stove. We bought a refrigerator last weekend but it will not show up till after we close. I still feels kinda funny paying that much for something and walking out of the store with only a little pice of paper.

When it is delivered we hope it looks like this

ImageSamsung never really poped to my mind when I thought of refrigerators but we liked all he space and features it had. I wanted the deli drawer and Lisa wanted the blue LED light inside.
