Last week my side of the family all got together for a little reunion in Flowell. My mom planned out lots of fun games and activities for the kids that kept them going from sun up to sun down (and beyond) every day.
On Thursday, July 4th, we went up to the parade in town.
Of course, per the norm, Mom, Dad and Trevor couldn't be bothered to get out of the car.
The kids got a ton of candy! We went to lunch at Costa Vida/Burger King then went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for a little fishing pond and playing all afternoon.
Taylee loved the slide - she wouldn't leave it alone. Going up,
and away!
Grandma and Grandpa kicked back in their new chairs:
Makele is always up for arts and crafts:
Friday night we had a little play put on by the grand kids. I was the "director" so I didn't get any photos, but they did a great job!
We went over to Great Grandma's to ride Uncle Durand's horse, Killer on Saturday morning. The kids all lined up, patiently waiting their turn:
Doesn't Jeff look like he's having soooo much fun in this picture?
After the horse rides, we went over to clean the church. There was this little magpie in the parking lot that was so tame - the kids loved it!
Saturday afternoon we had a game of water kickball.
Things got a little intense for some people:
Saturday night we had a little talent show and magic show. Aiden sang, "You've Got a Friend in Me," and did a "break dance."
Landon impressed us all with his juggling skills:
Jack performed a little magic:
And Taylee just looked cute:
We had fireworks that night too brought to us by pyrotechnic Jeff.
Sunday, everyone else went home, and Jack was pretty much devastated. He whined all the rest of the afternoon. We stayed a couple more days. On Monday we went out to the ice caves.
Aiden is NOT a hiker and was none too pleased about having to actually walk. Should have left him home with Grandpa and Taylee.
There's a geocache on the hill above the caves that we found:
On Tuesday morning we stopped by Seven Peaks in Provo on our way home and played in the water for a few hours. Aiden had a little meltdown as we neared home. I guess he thought we were going back to Grandma's after the water park because he howled when we told him we were going to our house. He kept saying, "I want to go to Grandma's house! Go back, now!"
We had a lot of fun with the family and made memories we'll never forget!
