Oh Ty 5-2017

Ty came out in long athletic pants. He told me we would need to turn the air conditioner temp down because long pants was the last thing in his drawer. haha. I need to teach these kids to do laundry, or show them an a/c bill.   

Friends

So grateful for the friends in our life. They lift our spirits and enrich our days. I couldn't ask to be surrounded by a better crew.

The Empire - Volleyball 5-6-17

Odysea Aquarium 4-26-17

Sydney's 3rd grade field trip to the aquarium. We learned about turtles and bubble butt (a pocket of air under their shell). That got the jokes started. I dared Kenzie to ask if sea lions get bubble butt. Then dared her to snag the octopi fingers from an instructor. It was a great day, filled with laughter.

Bubble Run 4-22-17

I joined my old coworkers Melanie and Deanna for a 5k fun run. The kids came to watch. Our legs were dyed for days.

Desert Survival - 6th grade

I got to join Ty at Lake Pleasant's amazing camp ground for his 6th grade Desert Survival trip. He had a blast and got to bunk with a few close friends including Spencer and Sebastian 'Sea-bass'. While I was there the kids went for a hike and a diamondback snake emerged. When they returned we made the kids a spaghetti dinner. Followed by a game of jeopardy, oreos and a dance party. Ty kept coming over to visit me and told me how glad he was that I had come. That melted my heart that my 12 year old still wants his mama around.

Palm Springs 2-18-17

My brother rented a home in Palm Springs for his birthday weekend and invited myself and the kids to join for a fabulous weekend.
We enjoyed the house and pool. We took a trip up the Aerial Tramway. It was a wild, shaky ride where Teresa just about had a panic attack. The height brought snow, cool temps. We had a blast hiking and sledding through the blankets of white snow.
We also took a trip to downtown Palm Springs and enjoyed the shops along the streets. My parents treated us to lunch at Rubys. It was a great weekend and we felt spoiled.
