It has been a very long time since I have last posted.  Very long.  I have so much catching up to do, but I need to write about a very special little girl and the fact that she is turning TWELVE today.  I first wrote about my story here .  If you have no idea what I am talking about start there.  Read my story.  It was the first time that I really shared my story out in the open for the whole world to read about.  Five years later, so many things have changed.  I have changed.  We have added 2 more beautiful boys to our family.  We are blessed beyond what we could have imagined.  Today, I will be thinking about Alex all day and I will play the events over and over in my head for the next few days. Alex is twelve today and that blows my mind.  Sometimes I feel like that experience was something that I just lived and other times it seems like forever ago.  But, I can't help but continue to ache for her and ache for that re...

One might ask: What do you do when you are stuck in an airport with a 3 hour layover, with three kids 5 and under?   Besides going crazy, and being mad about all of the RUDE people in the world who have ZERO patience with your three kids, you may decide to whip out your small camera (hence the not-so-great quality) and let the kids play around with it.   And so, I give you our Denver layover photos: The kids wanted to do a bunch of silly faces, so each of these has a theme attached to it.  SILLY  HAPPY  POWER  SAD  SURPRISED  PIRATES MAD  SNAKES  MONKEYS  LIONS  I don't remember what this one was, but it is funny.  LOVING  SALUTING (or something like that.  Kennedi didn't know why she wanted to do this.  haha) COOL Kennedi took this one of me.  I was going to delete it, but I thought it was too funny! (I mean really, does my nose ned to look any bigger?!?!?!)   Yesterday really was a...

My Little Artists

Image
I really enjoy watching my children grow and learn.  Right now Kennedi and Kaden LOVE to color.  Kaden has really improved his coloring skills with working on staying in the lines.  I have also learned that he loves the color RED . Kennedi has just blossomed into a little artist, especially at school.  Last week, she came home with a book that she illustrated.  They had been learning about community workers and she drew pictures of all of the things that she could be when she grew up. I don't keep very many of her projects because there are SO many, but I wanted to take photos of this one.  I love it and am excited to show her when she is older.  How did he all of a sudden turn into a little BOY???    And this is just for fun, and because he is so darn cute!!! He is playing peek-a-boo, but he says, "da-doo".   Oh, I love this boy! (I know you love his outfit!)

Flashback Friday: "Who Let the Dogs Out?!?!?!"

In August of 2011 we celebrated our 10 Year High School Reunion.   It was SO much fun.  We had a get together Friday night at Pounders.  On Saturday we had a family picnic.  It was so much fun to see and meet people's spouses and kiddos.  Jerrod grilled burgers for us and we had plenty of food!   (Click on the photo collage to see it larger.) Saturday night we celebrated out at the Party Barn.  We ate a yummy dinner and watched a fun slide show.  It really was so much fun seeing everyone.  There were some people that didn't make it that we really missed, but I was so happy to see some of my really great friends.   My Guy, Jerrod, was so supportive this whole weekend.  I am sure it wasn't very much fun for him.  He didn't know anyone except for Crystal, but he was a good sport.  Don't worry honey, you won't have to go to another one for ten more years!!  :) I loved going to this ten year reunion.  I think b...

My Story--10 Years

Image
I have many titles, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, etc.  I cherish all of those titles, and try to be the best that I can be in each of those areas.  But, a title that I hold very dear to my heart is the title of "Birthmother".  Almost three years ago, I came "out" to the world that I was a Birthmother.  Close friends and family knew, but I wasn't ready to be so open about it yet.  I finally felt I was ready, and wrote my story HERE .  Please feel free to read it.  It is a long one, but it is the whole story. That was three years ago when Alex was seven.  Now she is TEN!   I have changed a lot in ten years.  I am so much more open with my story.  I am proud of the woman that I have become and the decisions that I have made in my life to follow my Heavenly Father.  I don't care who knows my story now.  If they hear it from me, then it is told the right way. Today is Alex's tenth birthday!!  Whenever h...
