i'm so cute

Image
i'm clearing up space on my gmail account and just came across an email i sent to tanner with this photo with the subject line of, "look!" and all the content of the email was, "this is what i've been doing today".

then there was a chain of emails about how tanner forgot to go to class because he was filling out a police report for his stolen bike and how he was in a "how to study" lecture. meanwhile, i repainted my nails and make cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies while sitting at home because i had no friends, no job and no kids.

such a funny reminder of that time of our life. our first apartment in LA and flashback to being newlyweds. though i frequently miss living in LA, i must say that our two babies, home and family surrounding us more than makes up for the restaurants and museums we loved visiting.

f e b r u a r y

1. always obsessing over snapchat filters. they would save my life on tired pregnant days. we'd ply with them for 15-30 minutes at a time.

2. non-stress tests for baby girl begin. because i tested positive for down syndrome in one of my initial tests, i had to do non stress tests starting at 34 (maybe 35?) weeks. this meant going into the hospital every wednesday morning for 30-45 minutes while they monitored her movement and made sure there was enough amniotic fluid for her to swim around in. she was SO active the first appointment, it took almost an hour before they could get a consistent resting heart rate for her.

3. morrie's 2 1/2 year appointment a couple months late because i 100% forgot about his initial appointment (that i already thought i had scheduled and hadn't which set the whole thing off late). as always he's the best and cutest. ad we're always obsessed with dr. bean. what i'm not obsessed with? how tall and grown up he looks in these photos. at least his cheeks still have a bit of baby chub left.

4. 35ish weeks pregnant and getting a jamba juice in hopes of helping cure some terrible cold i caught that left me with a sick voice for no less than 3 weeks. too bad this was the same day i was supposed to start babysitting for jed and brooke but was laid out in bed trying to get better so i could help them for even a minute.

5. finally got him to fall asleep at jed and brooke's for a nap and had to document him looking peaceful to remind myself that i like him.

6. hanging with my besties babysitting lindy
Image
7. took morrie and eli to kangaroo zoo saturday morning to play. it was all right? not that cool. kind of ghetto and we stayed for about 20 minutes.
Image
Image
8. thank heavens eli was there to play with morrie and keep him entertained! he wouldn't have stayed nearly as long had he not come with us.

9. lindy eating something really chocolately..maybe a donut? and loving it
Image
10. one of morrie's favorite baths of his lifetime. too bad lindy was terrified by her two crazy babies

11. morrie woke up in the middle of the night the night before we were finishing babysitting and threw up everrrywhere. all over jed and brooke's bed, sheets, and pillows. i was terrified when i went in and saw it and found him and was so grateful he was okay. because of this, we decided to take him home rather than getting all the burtons sick. tanner stayed at jed and brooke's and i took morrie home in the middle of the night. luckily it was a one and done situation.

12. gramma and grampa to the rescue! they had us all over for dinner that weekend and helped us all feel happy and taken care of.

13. superhero morrie to the rescue!

14. upside down time to help try and flip etta. i spent so much time upside down for a week straight that it made me grouchy and left me with a perma headache.
15. accidentally matching with my baby boy.

16. steven tyler concert courtesy of qualtrics. i forgot what a big aerosmith fan i was as a teen and had the time of my life. it was one of the best concerts we've ever attended. we had so much fun with bryce too!

Image
 19. my sweet friends from the ward threw me a baby shower for little gf. and summer even came! i love our neighborhood and cannot believe how many friends little etta is going to have. there were at least 6 other girls pregnant at the same time as me,
Image
 10. brittany organized and carried out the whole thing for me. she's such a great friend to me. we're lucky to have them live so close by so morrie can have a best buddy so close in age right by us.
Image
 11. one of my upside down days and morris thought it would be fun to take a ride on my legs. it was almost fun.
Image

Image
 16. saturday's waffle on a saturday morning. yum.
Image
 17. last ditch effort to try and get etta to flip (she turned and went breech around 35-36 weeks). i've never felt sillier but thought it was worth a shot. we went to the murray pool and swam as a family while i tried doing flips to get her to flip too. it wasn't successful on that end but it was 100% successful for a family activity. morrie LOVED it.
Image
 18. all of us looking great.

 19. morrie and jack were nowhere to be found when it was time to leave mandi's, then i found them hiding and whispering in jacky's little teepee. it was the cutest/most infuriating thing ever.
