First Giggles

Eve surprised us on Monday, December 21st, with her first giggles. I was zipping up her PJs, and she laughed so hard. Last night, Aaron got her laughing again playing with her. We finally got a little video of her laughing; I was giving her "Mommy squeezes". There isn't a prettier sound in the world to me then to hear my girls laugh.

Mommy's Little Helper

Whenever Eve is a little fussy, I don't have to worry too much because Little Mommy Alison is always ready to step in and feed her with her plastic baby bottle. Yum! Eve doesn't get any nourishment from this magic disappearing milk, but it does buy me a few minutes to finish my dinner.

That's a lot of work to feed the baby!

Blowout!

One of the greatest joys of motherhood is the baby blowout! Eve is an expert at poop explosions. She likes to time them just perfectly: right before we need to leave to go somewhere, in the middle of my Sunday school lesson at church, and any place that does not have a changing table in the public bathroom. Aaron and I always know when Eve's about to blow. The quiet grunts and the red face are the warning signs. BAM! Before we know it, she's covered in orange from ankle to neck. We just laugh and then try to decide who gets clean-up duty. Usually me. Aaron claims I'm better at it; I think I've just had more practice.

Did I do that?

*Bonus: I was taping Eve talking last night. There are a few grunts and other funny noises that came out with a surprise.

VIP Emmy

Emmy was VIP at preschool yesterday. She got to be the teacher's special helper, share a poster about herself, and share some treats with her classmates. I video taped Emmy sharing her poster at home before she went to school. Enjoy!

Eve's Baby Blessing

ImageMiss Eve was blessed on November 27th. It was a wonderful experience! We are so grateful to our family and friends that joined us for this special experience.
Image
Image I loved seeing Eve in her blessing dress that I made for her while I was pregnant. She looked so beautiful. My friend Brianne made these precious booties. They were the perfect finishing touch to her blessing dress.

Image Our dear friends, the Hopkinson family, were in town for the holidays. It was so awesome that they could be at Eve's blessing; they were at Emmy's blessing in Oklahoma almost 5 years ago. Poor Enoch is greatly outnumbered with 6 little girls surrounding him.

Special Dresses

Image
Before Eve was born, we found some of the dresses that my mom made for us girls when we were little. The family photo above was taken back in 1982. I was 3 years old and my sister Tiffany was almost a year old. I put these dresses on Alison and Eve today. They looked so cute. I'm so glad that my mom kept these precious dresses that she made for us so many years ago. I hope my girls will put them on their daughters one day.
