Steps to reproduce
- Open two pages that contain links in a Split View and select a view.
- Hover over a link and quickly move the cursor to the other view.
Expected result
- The hovered link is displayed only in the specific view.
Actual result
- The hovered link will briefly appear in the other view.

- Happens after bug 1996066.

Verified fixed with Firefox 148.0a1 (2026-01-11) on Windows 11, macOS 14 and Ubuntu 24. Moving the mouse to the other view after hovering a link will no longer display the status panel with that link in the wrong view.
