Wallace Mallette and his wife, Amaryliss, started Burning Willow Pottery in 1994 in Greenwood, Mississippi by attending crafts festivals. Soon, retail shops began to carry the line of pottery and it has grown ever since. Wallace teaches at Mississippi Delta Community College and is a member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi.
