Funding & Phases

The incubation programme runs in three phases, with funding opportunities along the way:

  • Phase 1: 25 startups enter
    16 startups receive a grant of 5000 EUR upon completion
  • Phase 2: Top 16 continue
    9 startups receive a grant of 15000 EUR
  • Phase 3: Final 9 compete
    5 startups receive a grant of 30000 EUR

What You Can Build in the Creators of IT Tools Incubation Programme

The Creators of IT Tools Incubation Programme is your chance to design and launch innovative digital solutions that make teaching and learning more effective, engaging, and accessible.

Your idea should directly support education — helping teachers teach better, helping students stay engaged, or helping learners develop valuable skills. We welcome bold ideas that use technology creatively, from AI and gamification to adaptive learning and immersive experiences.

 

We’re looking for solutions that:

Eligible IT Tools Include:

 

  1. Skill Development Apps – Support career growth, coding, personal development, or niche skills. (Examples: Udemy, LinkedIn Learning)
  2. Tutoring or Mentorship Platforms – Connect learners with tutors or offer homework help. (Examples: Chegg, Brainly)
  3. Assessment Tools – Deliver quizzes, tests, and performance analytics in real time. (Examples: Kahoot!, Quizizz)
  4. Immersive Learning Solutions – Create hands-on virtual experiences like labs or historical reconstructions. (Examples: zSpace, other AR/VR tools)
  5. Adaptive Learning Systems – Personalize learning with AI based on student progress. (Examples: DreamBox, Knewton)
  6. Administrative Tools – Streamline communication, class organisation, and data management. (Examples: ClassDojo, Schoology)
  7. Gamified Learning Apps – Use games, challenges, and rewards to make learning fun. (Examples: Prodigy, Khan Academy Kids)

Phase 0
Preselection criteria

(selects top 25 participants)

 

  1. All eligibility criteria (provided in Section 3.2.) are met (Y/N)
  2. Proposed concept aligns with at least one of the eligible activities (provided in Section 3.3.2) (1-10 points)
  3. Compliance with the priority list of topics (a list developed by the Network members) (1-10 points)
  4. Has established a legal entity (Y/N)

Phase 1
Criteria for Alpha prototype evaluation

  1. Technology roadmap (main functionalities, resources needed) (1-10 points)

For Early-Stage EdTech Startups

The EdTech4BY programme designed for startups working on innovative, technology-driven solutions is aimed at enhancing education and learning experiences. We are looking for early-stage companies ready to grow, experiment, and create lasting educational impact.

To be eligible, startups must be legally registered in the European Union, EEA, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, or Ukraine. Additionally, at least one team member must be a current or former holder of a Belarusian passport, and the team must include at least one technical expert with a minimum of two years of experience relevant to EdTech product development. Proof of employment must be provided.

All eligible applications will be evaluated based on innovation, impact potential, team capacity, and alignment with EdTech goals. Applications will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10.

For Educators

We are also inviting educators to join an incubation programme and contribute by designing and delivering engaging online learning content. This track is open to individuals who are current or former holders of a Belarusian passport, and who currently reside in the EU, EEA, or Schengen Area.

Eligible educators should have a minimum B-level proficiency in one of the following teaching languages: English, Belarusian, or Russian. Basic digital literacy (such as proficiency with MS Office tools) is expected. A CV demonstrating relevant teaching or subject matter experience is required.

Educators will receive training and mentoring throughout the process of incubation. Important to note, that all intellectual property rights for the course content will remain with the educators. The project organizers will not claim ownership or reuse rights, beyond the requirement to host the content on the project platform during the programme.
