Since I have had a few requests for a Conference bingo card, I thought I'd post this up on the blog.

Prescription for Stress Relief

Remember back in March when I said there was....perhaps....something coming that might be worth posting about?
In a little over 2 hours I'll be presenting at BYU Women's Conference. I have learned a lot over the last few months....especially about the topic assigned to me:

Adaptability and Flexibility: A Prescription for Stress Relief

I hope if I'm ever asked to speak somewhere ever again, they assign me a topic like:

How to Lose Weight with Only 4 Hours of Sleep a Night

Just sayin'.....

Changing the Post

I keep thinking something spectacular is going to happen and I'm going to be able to post all about it.

Alas....my life is mostly the same....I'm employed, I have a car that continues to take me wherever I need to go, I have a few hours every night when I can climb into bed and rest my tired body, and I am still in the Choir (right now working feverishly with my executive producer to get "Today on Tour" ready for June).

There is something else....not sure if it's spectacular or not....but I know I won't be the one determining it's "spectacularness." In a couple of months we'll know whether it passed the test.

Grateful....

Image

As most of you know, the Choir is going on tour in June.
Columbus, Indianapolis, Chicago (hoping to see Scott, Sue Ann and their kids), Milwaukee, Madison and Minneapolis (or....CIC MilMadMin....weird BUT it helps me remember the order).

ANYWAY....a tour year also means it's time again for another Today on Tour video production from our Missionary Committee. But I have to admit that it's been hard. The last two tours I had some serious heavenly inspiration and things just fell into place. But this year has been totally different.

CarolJ has kept saying...."you know there's something REALLY important we're supposed to have or you wouldn't be struggling this much." I believed her at first....but after several major segments fell through, my faith began to waiver. I started wondering if it was a sign I needed to step down or quit altogether. It was frustrating and I didn't know what to do.

Last week my faith was restored in the project. Because last week we met with Kim Farah from Church Public Affairs. One of her responsibilities is working with the Choir organization.

As we left Kim's office after a very animated, informative and upbeat conversation about the Choir and everything that's happening with the organization, Carol turned to me and said...."well, it looks like we just found what the Adversary didn't want us to find."

She was right. Filming Kim in the next 2-3 weeks is going to be pure joy. Not only because of her enthusiastic personality....but what she'll be sharing with the Choir while we're on tour. I think it may be just the thing to get the organization climbing that mountain President Hinckley talked to us about several years ago.

I am soooooo GRATEFUL for where I am in my life right now....for the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful organization....and for the life-long friends I've made.

Especially the friends who point out the obvious when my vision is a little clouded.
