Stocks close higher as TSMC earnings boost optimism
All three of the major indexes (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) closed higher on Thursday. Tech stocks got a boost after TSMC (TSM), the world's largest contract chipmaker, posted a 35% jump in fourth quarter profit.
