Cache's grandma cece got him this hat for christmas and it was so cute. He actually left it on for a little while.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Christmas always comes and goes so fast, but I love it and this Christmas was no exception. We spent Christmas Eve with Dave's brother Sam and sister in law Annie. Annie's family all drove down from California and we had a korean feast. The food was so good (thanks to Annie's mom who is such a great cook.) Cache had so much fun playing with Sophie and Liam (Annie's niece and nephew who are the cutest kids.) When we came home we opened our Christmas eve presents, which were of course our PJ's and Cache got a new blankie. When Cache woke up Christmas morning we took him to the tree and he saw all his presents and started clapping and got so excited. He had so much fun opening presents. We made Blina (our german family traditional Christmas breakfast) and Cache ate a whole one all by himself...grandpa would be proud. We hung out then went over to aunt Shelley's house and played with cousins and had lots of yummy food. Cache had fun playing with Dylan's kids and all the attention he got from cousins. All in all we had a great Christmas and although I would have loved to have my family around it is good to know we have people here who we can share the holidays with. I hope you all had a great holiday.

My baby boy is not looking very babyish anymore

I took some pictures today because my mom wanted a sweatshirt with a picture of Cache on it for her birthday (she seriously asked for this, my super fashionable mom has a grandma weakness when it comes to her Cachey!) So I took some pictures outside today and Cache is looking so much like a big boy. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. I am so sad. He is starting to get an attitude and if I get mad at him he gives me this look like I am totally crazy and if he knew how he would be rolling his eyes. Instead he just kind of opens and closes them really fast and turns his head half way around. He is just getting into everything and keeps me on my toes. He loves to climb all over the place and is now hiding out in the cupboards. We are looking for little boy friends to hopefully tire him out once in a while!

The best Halloween ever...2008!

This has been one of the best Halloween's ever. We had so much fun. First Cache and I went to a Halloween playgroup party. We started getting all sugared up by eating lots of yummy treats. Then we went to a BBQ at our neighbors house, went trick or treating, then came home and ate chili and watched a scary movie with Sam and Annie. There was a lot of sugar and tons of fun. So our costume drama was that I had purchased Cache a skunk costume that was oh so cute and last night realized that it was going to be just way too hot so we took it back and looked and looked for another costume for 90 degree weather. After no luck searching for a cute costume the night before halloween we just decided to dress him up as a cowboy. He looked so cute and had such a blast. I think he really just loved the cowboy boots. The neighborhood next to us was like the Halloween mecca where almost every other house had lights, music, and great decorations. So many kids and so much for cache to look at.

So Many Shoes

My little guy is so obsessed with shoes. He goes into my closet pulls down all my shoes plays with them awhile then he will head into the mud room and pull down all of the shoes in there and play in them. I find shoes all over the house and as funny and cute as it is I am starting to go nuts. I am just hoping that he loves shoes enough that one day he becomes a fabulous shoe designer and makes his mommy amazing shoes. Such a cutie!

Growing up so fast

Now I know what most of you will think with the title of this post. Probably that I am going to go on and on about Cache and how he is just growing so quickly. How he copies everything I say and can sing song with me like Row Row Row your Boat or No More Monkeys Jumping on the bed. Maybe I would brag how he is so stinkin smart and can do little things when I ask him to, like going to his room and getting me a diaper. No, instead this post is going to be about Dave. He is just getting older so quickly. His 30th birthday came and went so fast. He is no longer a young hip 20 something person but now has to be a responsible 30 year old. Oh how the time fly's. Luckily I have a feeling he will always be young at heart. And soon enough another year will roll around and he will be 31. It is so sad to see them grow so quickly.

I am in need of some help...

Ok so I know many of you do not live in Arizona but if you could help me I would appreciate it. I am doing a survey for one of my classes and I was hoping any of you reading this could answer just a couple questions. So there is a proposition trying to be passed in this Arizona upcoming election. It is Proposition 102 which would amend the Arizona Constitution to provide that only a union of one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in this state. This is currently the law in Arizona which it is in most states but it would become an amendment to the state constitution. I know most of you do not live in AZ but if this issue has not arose in your state I am sure it soon will.
1. Are you currently registered to vote?
2. Do you plan on voting in the upcoming presidential and local elections?
3. Would you vote yes to make this an amendment or no leave the law how it is?
Thank you all for your help!

Projects, projects, projects

So I have been working on all my projects for the past few weeks and am happy to say that a couple major ones have been finished. #1 Wallpapering a wall in Caches room. My two aunties came to help me a few weeks ago and we got half of the wall finished. Then a few nights ago it was my turn...alone. Lets just say it is not as easy as I thought it would be and good thing the curtains cover most of the pieces I hung. I do have to admit that I dont love the wallpaper now that it is all hung. I like it but not love. I really wanted some cool vintage stuff but everything I liked was alot of $$$$. #2 Finish making Caches curtains. OK so I got most of those done when I went to Utah but I hung the rod and got them up and now just need to hem them. Yeah! Those things took forever. Just need to do a few more things and his room will be done. #3 All my knobs on the cabinets are completed. Just now need to put on the pulls. Not as many drawers so that is a plus. So I still have lots of projects left but three major ones done and it feels good. So on another note, Cache loves playing in the backyard which I love because not previously having one makes me so grateful that there is a place to whare him out. He is so active and crazy. I can have the house completely cleaned in the morning and by the evening it is so trashed. We purchased a little potty for him to get used to and not make it scary for when we really start potty training. He loves it. Well I should say he loves to wipe his bum and wash his hands. His daddy also taught him how to pick his nose. I recentally put all his stuffed animals on the bottom shelf and whenever he feels something soft he wants to snuggle. So I caught him laying on the bottom shelf snuggling with all his stuffed animals. LOL. Oh and one last thing, the weather is so nice now. We can actually go outside and not sweat. It is even raining today...WOW!

What's new?

So what's new with us? We are all moved into our new house and I have spent the first week stressing and losing alot of sleep. Let me explain. So like the second day we moved in Dave took Cache to the park and one of our neighbors asked if he had seen any scorpions yet. Yet? What? Scorpions? So I literally woke up two nights in a row in the middle of night thinking there were scorpions all over me. Anyway, I have seen one scorpion outside but none inside...yet. Ick. I am so freaked out. I put all of Caches crib feet in glass bowls (they supposively cannot climb on glass) and had the pest control people out. I pray I do not see a scorpion in my house. And I thought cock roaches were bad. We have been trying to get everything in the house all done like hanging all the ceiling fans, putting knobs on the cabinets, and getting all the rooms unpacked and organized. So that is what our days have been consisting of. Oh and I must add the exciting math class I get to go to twice a week. Cache is just getting to be such a big boy and he is so smart. He understands a lot of what I say, I can tell him to go get something and he usually goes to get it. He talks a lot just not words I can understand. Last thing...I can't wait for Halloween!

Lots of New Updates

Image We stopped by Hoover Dam on our way home from St. George
So we have been a busy family. Me, Dave, and Cache quickly decided we needed to take care of some business in St. George so two weekends ago we put Cache in the car and drove there. Cache did fairly well although most of the first part of the trip was screaming as loud as he could...then he just got tired and fell asleep. After driving all the way there and then all the way back we came home and started packing our house. We finally closed on our new house (still in Chandler...but we have a yard!!!!) So we have been trying to pack and clean and move and still take care of Cache, I am exhausted. Cache had his 15 month check up and is 100% in height, 100% for head size, and 89% in weight. We have ourselves a very healthy boy! He has not been saying a whole lot of words regularly except mamma, dadda and shoes, however, he does have his own conversations in what we call Cache talk. I think he still enjoys that thumb that he is constantly sucking on. He has started this phase of screaming and yelling quite a bit which makes my high anxiety self always wanting to pull my hair out. Cache is constantly getting into things and throwing them all over the place which makes the other half of me that is a neat freak also go crazy. So I guess this is God's way of telling me to relax! Dave and I had our 6 year anniversary this past weekend and stayed at a resort in scottsdale. It was absolutely beautiful. Well I will wrap this long post up...so it is my brothers birthday tomorrow (actually today I am up really late, I guess I dont really sleep either) so happy birthday we miss you and love you.

Too Soon ):

So we just got home from spending 2 weeks in Utah. It always goes by so fast and I wish I had more time to do things. Cache and I flew down for the first week and a half and then Dave came for the rest of the time. We had so much fun with our family. First we went and had a barbeque in the mountains which I miss soooo much. Then we went to Bear Lake for Raspberry days...always a fun adventure. We visited with friends throughout the week and had such a blast. Cache loved his grandma and grandpa and aunties and uncles so much that he usually had little use for me. He would want or need something and walk right past me to someone else. Needless to say he loved all the attention. Well now that we are back home we have a busy few weeks ahead of us. Dave and I bought a house in Chandler which I am super excited for because after looking for awhile at many crappy homes we finally found something perfect for us. You know how after you make a large purchase you always get that feeling a few days later like uh oh did we just do the right thing? Well I have not had that feeling at all. I am soooo excited and know that it is such a great deal for us. So we get to move in probably the second week of September. I am also starting school in a few weeks retaking classes that ASU will not accept from the U of U. Even though I am not excited to retake my math and science classes I am excited to get back to school. It may take me until I am 40 to get my degree but I will get it one day! Anyway here are a load of pics that make me so sad because our trip to Utah is now over and I miss being there already. Thank you to my family who put up with us for two whole weeks, we love you guys.

Just Chillin

Image He loves to put things around his neck, which of course makes me nervous. Anyway its pretty much anything he can find this above is part of my robe.

Image

Image So Dave made me take a picture last sunday because Cache's belly has gotten so big that his shirt doesn't fit anymore. He is just getting to be such a big boy!

So Cache and I have just been hanging out lately. Dave and I are looking for a house and so far just haven't found anything we like. I am getting so excited to go to Utah next week, I just wish it would hurry up and get here. Here are some pics of Cache. He is so cute and just does the funniest things now. He knows where his belly button is and thinks it is hilarious when he points at mine. He knows his head, nose, and eyes. Cache barks whenever he sees a dog or makes monkey noises when he sees monkey. He loves his daddy. In the afernoon when he hears the garage open he runs toward the door and from that time on dave has a little boy attatched to his leg. Funny Funny.
