Almost Four!

I can't believe how fast time flies by and my little baby will be four on Sunday! Took some pictures of Cache and of course Lyla. They are the cutest things ever. I love taking pictures because they grow so quickly and I don't realize it doing the day to day grind.

I have been thinking about my new adventures each month and I think this month's new adventure would have to be staying in a beach house in La Jolla, Ca. It wasn't really planned to be my new adventure but I think it fits the bill. We went to La Jolla with my parents for a few days and rented a beach house about half a block from the windansea beach. It was amazingly beautiful and the kids had so much fun. We went the beach, attempted to have an easter brunch, and went to seaworld. We were having fun all weekend until easter came and we got all ready and Lyla just decided she wasn't feeling good and did not want to have any part of Easter brunch. She had a temperature saturday night and by the time we were on the way to breakfast we stopped by cvs to pick up some benadryl all the while lyla was crying hysterically. When I tried to give her some of the benadryl she was thrashing herself all around and the benadryl spilled all over my white shirt. At that point I had given up and we went back to the house. I put her to bed and my parents went to get some stuff to make Blina. Monday was a little better, we went to seaworld and had such a good time. Cache loved the dolphin show (not quite sure why...it needed a little more dolphin and little less strange acrobatic people) and Lyla loved the Shamu show. Which was very cool but somewhat disturbing...I am not sure about how I feel about seaworld. Anyhow, it was a good experience and we all had a good time. Tuesday morning we played at the beach and headed home. Having a one year old at the beach is a little too unsettling for me, she just kept running straight for the ocean. I loved the area we stayed but it was a surfer area that had huge waves. California is so beautiful its nice to be so close!


Easter Bunny brought candyland and Cache played all day long!

After easter brunch was a total bust we decided to make some blina.

Was able to visit one of my oldest (meaning known the longest!)friends. Somewhere around 25 years.

We did it!!!!

I ran 6 whole miles and I know that is not a lot for some of you but seeing as how I truly hate running, it is great for me! We ran the 6 tunnels half marathon at Hoover Dam and my sister in law and I split it and did the relay. It felt so good to finish. I really do want to do a half marathon but am pretty nervous about that one...it's so far. Maybe one day.

Goal for the year...

I was facebook stalking people about a month ago and came across a person I knew in highschool. He talked all about all his adventures he has done and places he has been. There were some incredible things and places. I was thinking how boring my life is in comparison to his...I am just at home all day everyday. Of course I love being at home with my kids but the monotinous days sometimes get ovewhelming. So I was thinking although I can't do these crazy adventures I can still be adventurous and be a mom and wife. I have made it a goal every month this year to do something new. So far...January I can't remember (must have been crazy) February I went to a pole fitness class which was so fun and I highly recommend trying it. March I am running a half marathon relay at the Hoover Dam. So far so good, I think. Now I have to figure out what the rest of the year holds for me.

Happy First Birthday

Happy first birthday Lyla! I had so much fun planning her party. Lyla wore her hanbok (korean dress) and we made a doljabi board which is where 4 items were set out and Lyla chooses one item which predicts her path in life. The pig represents wealth, the pencil represents education, thread represents long life, and a microphone representing an entertainer. Lyla chose the thread and I guess will be living a long life, I was kind of hoping for wealth but whatever. Lots of cake and lots of goodies.

It is crazy how fast time flies by and how big my baby girl is getting. Life gets so busy I feel like I don't realize how quickly my kids are changing. It's kind of fun having Lyla's birthday on the first day of the year, I get to make new resolutions of what I can do better as a mother. Really, I can think of something I could do better just about everyday. I am looking forward to new beginnings and for my kids to continue growing. The interesting things they do and say everyday keep me entertained.
