We had a super fun Halloween! We went and watched the kids that morning in the halloween parade at school! Hogi was getting tired of waiting so I sat by my new neighbor Nikki who had an ipad and he played games with carson.  We went to Cafe Rio for lunch that day! Soooo yummy as always!  We had our traditional chili and fritos for dinner that night!  We got to eat apple cider at the neighbors that live above us.  Then we got to meet lots of new neighbors.  Our bishop gave our full sized candy bars and our other neighbors did an open fire pit and the kids got to eat smores!! It was such a fun halloween!

Happy Birthday HOGI BEAR!

This last week was tons of fun!! Hogan had his 2nd birthday!  We got up that morning and he didn't want to wake up!  But once we took breakfast into his room and stood there singing Happy Birthday 3 different times he opened his eyes saw the candles and stood up in his crib to hurry and blow them out!! It was super cute!   and took him to Toys R Us and we got an awesome deal on a COZY COUPE!  He got a free balloon and a birthday hat at the store that morning too!!  Hunter and I tried our best to put together the cozy coupe in the afternoon but we got tired and had to wait for dad to come home and finish it! We were glad that Grandma Lynda came over with tons of Hot wheels cars and tracks for him to play with in the mean time!  Grandma Redding cave over later that night (helped me clean and do dishes) and played hot wheels with him and we took him out to eat to Cafe Rio. when we were leaving dinner that night hunter gave my mom a BIG HUG and said "Grandma, thanks for buying the trailer!" She ordered the trailer to hook onto the back of the cozy coupe.  We were laughing hard because we didn't tell him to say that. He did it on his own.  Anyway Hogi and the kids love the free quesedillas!  Later that night cousins, aunts and uncles came over and sang Happy Birthday to him and ate Mickey Mouse cupcakes and icecream!!  What a fun day....oh yes but at the end of the night when it was time to go to bed he danced for us and was doing crazy moves! He was still celebrating at the end of the day! Too much fun!! We love the Hogi Bear!!

Random other funny things I need to write down:
Hunter told me that he is smart because he went to preschool!
He also told me that Miss Pateresa loves him because she put hearts on his preschool t shirt that he wore the other day!
A couple weekends ago we got to go spend the night up in park city all of us!  We went to a yummy brazilian resturant and we were the only ones in the whole place.  We went swimming in the HOT TUB when it was snowing outside! It was a blast!  the kids would jump into the snow and then hurry back into the hot tub!! We rented Madagascar 3 and brought the DVD player and watched it in the hotel room with the kids.  We ran to the store for a doughnut run first and enjoyed a pretty good nights sleep!  The next day we went up to the olympic park and had fun walking through their museum of fun things! They had tons of fun interactive exhibits for the kids about skiing too! :)

There is a first time for everything!!

This is my year of firsts.  I keep thinking about a ton of accomplishments I have done this past year! Yes, they may be little but I feel like I have been courageous to do them and happy that I have been confident in myself to do it!

I ran my FIRST 5K in Alpine Days! I gotta give one of my best friends Christina credit for being my inspiration! My hubby was awesome and ran it with me! my time was like 31 min and 4 seconds!  My Sisters Britt, Ali, bro Tim, and nephews Miles and Caden ran it with us too! This pic is super early in the morning!
Image
I learned my FIRST time to do some FUN ZUMBA!! I love ZUMBA! It's so fun! We get to dance to fun songs from Brazil too!  My sister's friend from high school and now my friend Melody does it for free at a church gym and we can all bring our kids too!

I first learned how to dive off a diving board swimming with my kids this summer.  I never learned how to dive! Weird I know!  I have learned that I want my kids to be brave (they are braver than me) but I want them to know that things that are important to me I want them to be important to them too!

I have read more than 4 books the FIRST time since college! Hunger games and Heaven is Here! I wanna read one more before the year is over! Anyone have any good books they have read?!?!

I gave Hogan his FIRST haircut this year too!   That was fun!! Sorry the pics are lacking.

I know I have more I'll have to ask Bry!   But I'm grateful for what I've accomplished and wanted to make record of it so I don't forget!  I know I have borne my testimony more than usual this year in sacrament mtgs than normal!! Hunter and May love to bear their testimonies in sacrament too! I have done more missionary work this year too! I LOVE missionary work and I LOVE helping out the elders and sisters!  It's the truest work on this earth and those missionaries work so hard!!

Ok more to come.....love all of you who read this :)

NEW HOME!!

I've been reading "Heaven Is here"  by Stephanie Nielson.  I have felt the spirit so much lately! It's awesome!  I feel so connected with her.  During her accident and recovery her kids were the same age as Mayley and Hunter right now.  She had many heavenly experiences and it has helped my testimony to grow!

My heart is full of gratitude!  We got to move in to our new home after waiting for almost a whole year in a small apartment.  I loved making food on Sunday for my family! I can't believe how much room and counter space I have to cook! It's amazing and feels so refreshing to have more than one small counter to work on while cooking!  I'm so grateful that we have more than one bathroom in our home.  I'm grateful to Bry's friends who let us borrow their awesome trailer so we could move everything instead of having to rent an U-haul truck.  it feels so good to have our own yard.  To feel more privacy and not have to hear people above us or people walking up and down the stair wells.  I'm grateful for our new ward.  Everyone is so sweet!  The spirit was awesome on Sunday!  The kids have a fun primary.

Time to KETCHUP!

Sometimes I feel like every post has to have pictures.  I have been thinking about this past year lots.  One thing I always feel the spirit telling me is NEVER GIVE UP!  Keep doing your best! If you want something done you have to make it happen! Thats the truth as of lately!  I've learned a lot more  to give my TIME to my children!  They are my most prized and precious possession (and Bryan).  Tonight I wrestled with hogan and we laughed our heads off!  what a blast!  He would stand up on my tummy while I laid on my back and try and jump down on me and we would giggle so silly! Then He would stand on my legs and I would count to three and would do a little jump.  He even tooted while playing and we laughed too!  Today he fell in a vent hole while we were working and cleaning our new house to move into.  I felt so incredibly bad for him.  Grandpa Call was quick to pull a band aid out of his wallet.  HE is always prepared!  (kind of like Austin from Backyardigans! inside joke)  We had to get Hogan to fall asleep this afternoon and so we drove around for awhile.  May wanted to come with me.  We took some movies back to the library and then I saw a sign for a farmers market.  So we found it at the park and we quickly ran out and found 2 large marge pumpkins perfect for carving for Halloween!! I LOVE pumpkin carving. It's always been a tradition in my family!  I love doing this for my kids!  Tonight at the dinner table we had german puffy pancakes and yummy potatoes.  Hunter was taking a drink from a glass and he squose it sooo tight it broke and glass had cut his tongue.  He bled for a long time tonight!  Bry went back over to the house to paint one room's ceiling and I told him I would stay and get the kids baths for church tomorrow.  I decided to give Hogan a haircut. I was proud of myself since it was the FIRST time EVer I've cut any one in my family's hair.  It was fun!  Hogi wasn't very happy with me though!  I can't believe he is going to be 2 in a couple weeks!  He is starting to talk more.  He can say DADDY, Water, NO, MINE, CAR, MOOOO, Ball, and whole bunch of gibberish!

The month of September was fun!  Bry had a fun birthday!  He has been spoiled rotten at work thats for sure! I made him his favorite Mexican cake, Tres leches, and he got 2 more cakes from work that same day too!  We went to In and Out for dinner.  He got 4 burgers put on one patty.  He ordered all the secret stuff on the menu! that was fun! We made him a doughnut man with bacon arms for his breakfast too that morning!!
We have seen 2 guys pass away that we both served missions with this past month.  My prayers have been sincere and I've had many days where I cried cause my heart hurt for their wives and how they must've been feeling after loosing their husbands.  The Lord knows us and our time here on the earth.

I got to go out to the Blue Lemon restaurant down in Alpine with all of the girls during the priesthood session for general conference this month.  Me, mom, Ali, Shelby, aunt Debbie, Shelby's mom, Alix (chey's wife), and Kayla (Aunt Debbie's other niece).  It was so fun!  We laughed about embarrassing moments we've all had!  We got to eat some yummy appetizers and the kids were awesome. I think they drank like 5 cups of lemonade!!

Anyway I have lots I haven't wrote about and I wish i have.....I love my life.  I love my family! I love that I get to move in less than 6 days out of my lovely apartment and actually have space to live in OUR NEW HOUSE! I love that I'm reading a book right now.  I love that my husband works so hard everyday! He has an amazing job and I'm grateful for all the endless blessings we receive.

ok Tchau for now!

This is my Hunter Man.  He has this amazing love for his bike and doing crazy tricks on his bike!!  He makes me laugh so hard.  Definently his prized possession is that bike of his!

He calls this the crazy turn where he falls over and gets super dirty in the dirt!!

The playground!! This is one of my favorites because Hogan is obsessed with these shoes.  The first thing he does when he wakes up in the morning is to get his sandles on his feet!!  What am I going to do when winter comes?!?

Alpine Days Fun Run/ SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

Alpine Days is such a fun event for the Redding Family every year.  We started the tradition this year and I only have one pic on my phone. The 5K and the Toddler Trot!! I only have pics of the kids running the Toddler Trot.  This year Brittany and Tim were here so they got to run the race with their cousins!  Bry ran the 5K with me and we ran together and it was a blast.  I ran the whole way and finished in 31 Min 45 sec.  Bry was 15 seconds ahead of me! Miles, Caden, Ali, Britt and Tim all ran the 5K.  I love my family!!!
