WOOT, first project is done!

It's really huge, so I'm just gonna link ya it so you can see it in all of it's huge ass glory~! (Make sure to open it larger with the magnifying glass ^^)

Some background info for who wish to know~


Digital Imaging 2: Character Portrait.
We had to get a picture of either ourselves, family, or friend. I chose my dad since I knew he would love this AND he has short hair.

First up, we had to retouch blemishes on the pictures we had. In my dad's case, I just had to rid of some moles (if only if it were that easy in real life XD) with the spot healing brush. The area underneath the eyes were painted over with the clone brush getting the data of the skin on my dad's right (our LEFT) cheek. Did the with my dad's bristle to make it subtle. The neck's source from his left (our RIGHT) cheek again with the clone brush with the opacity set around 30-40%ish. Last step on this stage was using Adjustment Layers Levels and Brightness/Contrast, made a radial gradient and tada, you have a retouched image ready to work on~!

Second, the studio portrait! Found a beach background from sxc.hu (free stock exchange and I mean free :D) and got set to work to work on the lightning of my dad. Pretty easy step.

Lastly, the character itself! Yup, I made my dad into an alien XD This part was the hardest but in the end, I love how it came out. Sorry, I can't explain what I did since it's getting late.


Today we're gonna present it. FFFF, can't wait XD

I can't choose only 15 T_T I have 13 so far uploaded but, but, I NEED MORE. I can't have it balanced!

As you may know, I haven't been posting since I've been busy the past days. Christmas doesn't help either but I don't mind it all since spending time with the family is so wonderful and brings me a lot of joy.

I GOT SLYTHERIN BABY, FUCK YES!

I thought I was getting Hufflepuff but I got SLYTHERIN which was my number one choice. I can be snarky if I wish yet I hate being lonely (which I chose). I’m kind yet I love the dusk. I choose wisdom potion over those of love, power, and…forgot the other one (if there WAS another one).

I’ll be over here in my…”cave” rocking out loud in happiness. With the occasional “OMFG” and stuff. Don’t mind me~

Here's an update on what's going on.

Dad's going to take apart the tower and clean it up to see if that works but if it doesn't, we'll have to get a new drive or the motherboard, depends really. We found out the problem though and I cannot even explain it since it's computer talk and I just fail at that.


Now the fun part of this post: college!

I'm REALLY enjoying it. I have classes working with Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, and Illustrator. I'm learning a lot of things at once. Well, Photoshop we're learning the clone tool, spot healing, healing, and patch tool and we had to fix up this image which I (pardon the ego) did so wellll on. Sadly I didn't save it to my jump drive but I was so proud of myself since I just LOVE doing that, especially with the clone tool. I've used that tool before and had so much fun with it and the spot healing one.

In Fireworks, we learned that you can make an entire web design in it and it will help you slice and code it in either tables or CSS tableless. I prefer the latter since it's so neat (which he showed and amazed people) and right now we were replicating an ad that was given to us in the handout and was told to do the basics and I finished it here at home on...Monday afternoon i think. Here it is if you wish to see. It was very fun to make and make the guides for the boxes and everything with the teacher helping in class.

In Flash we've been learning how the tools work and it's veeeery different than any Adobe program but it's also pretty easy, especially how they used to make animation back then. I already finished my assignment and my next one isn't due until the 18th. I just wish the instructor knew how to teach right because, as she admitted (which is scary) that she has never taught this class but she does know Flash. She has learned to not go out on tangents and when you do need help, she'll go to you so that's good.

Lastly, in Illustrator (Basic Graphic Design) we made our inititals in any design we wished and made it exclude (black and white where it intersects) and we critqued them last week on Thursday. I had to think on which ones I liked and explained why. I threw out the word "balanced" which had him talk about it so that's good and I think I got a good grade on that. We were introduced to symmetry and asymmetry which reminded of Death the Kid on Soul Eater XD We made two designs with it symmetrical on the Y and X axis while recently we did it only on the Vertical axis which I had an easy time with and came up with a design that can look like a flower, a flash light, a bird, and a magical staff. I need to mount it on the black mat board later on but it isn't due till Thursday.


I'm really enjoying college so much. It's soooo different than high school since it's the community college. No one cares what you look like as long as you go to school and learn. My instructors are very laid back and not a day goes by that I don't laugh in their class. This sort of environment is what I like and I can't wait until I finish it and get my certificate :D

To make it short, I was going to say that we have SUCCESSFULLY sold our house.

We moved into the apartment last Sunday which was a huge risk but thank goodness we did since it took around three days to finally get all the stuff moved.

We didn't get internet until yesterday (Monday) which was originally supposed to be on Friday. And it's the same crappy ass internet as before since my dad, apparently, HATES AT&T because it's "crappy".

Bullshit, this one loves to drop, hates sharing networks with desktops and laptops. Road Runner is so damn shitty that I prefer to use T-mobile's internet than our wifi since it kicks EVERYONE.

AT&T NEVER did that but once dad hates something, he's fucking stubborn as a mule. My mother and I get tired of it.


Speaking of my phone, I got a upgrade on Saturday to a 4GB (that's internet) of Samsung Exhibit. I love it, a lot, and it kept me sane by reading slash fanfiction most of the time. It's made me love to text message before since the phone I used to have is so damn old. It was a Nokia Flip Phone.

It was about time I upgraded and my parents actually offered and I snatched that chance. So very glad about it too.


OH and lastly, my friend got me into Pottermore on the last day and I can't wait~!


ANYWAY, off to fool around before I start icons for icon communities again. Weee~!

I actually get to see Harry Potter 7 today! Going in a hour, can't wait can't wait can't wait~!


Here's how it went:

Dad says they're gonna watch the Green Hornet later on and asked if I wanted to (yes rly) and I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms clearly showing "YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT I WANT TO WATCH" to which he goes "Oh...riiiiight."

"She wants to go see Harry Potttterrrr" is what my mom while fake sobbing.

Then my dad offered to go later and I was like "O_O -jumps up and down- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?!"

So I found out what time we could go and 8:30 PM is fine (which is in a hour or so from now).

My mom finally went "It's okay, there's not much to pack, I'll do the rest in the living room."

MY POINT EXACTLY!


Fun fact: I only slept for 4 FOURS. I've been awake ever since 9 AM and I went to bed at 5 AM.

I think I may go take a nap so I won't feel all tired later while watching the movie - not like that'll ever happen but better than trying to make myself stay awake when my energy from being hyper goes down.
