Executive Committee
Executive Committee
Responsible for CAPG’s internal governance, finance and audit, nominations, resolutions, and oversight of the Executive Director. The Committee focuses on board effectiveness, financial accountability and strategic alignment.
The Committee shall be composed of at least two members or more appointed by the Board, with one member designated as Chair. The Committee shall meet at least four times each year or at the call of the
Chair. The Committee may invite other board members and members of the CAPG to attend meetings and assist in the discussion and consideration of the business of the Committee.
Subject to the powers and duties of the Board, the Committee shall:

Advocacy & Partnerships Committee
Advocacy & Partnerships Committee
Provides direction on CAPG’s advocacy priorities, monitors federal and provincial policy developments, and builds relationships with partners involved in police governance and community safety.

Identifies and assesses revenue opportunities, including grants, sponsorships and partnership funding, and establishes annual revenue plans for Board approval.

First Nations Police Governance Council
First Nations Police Governance Council
Provides a national forum for First Nations governance boards to discuss issues, share models and develop position papers related to First Nations policing and governance.
