Danny left last night. He had just gone right before I got there to see him. I can hear him in my head teasing me that he waited for me but I was late as usual.
Ed posted online as soon as I called him, he was concerned for people traveling to see Danny Fri night/Sat. I would rather have been able to call some people first but he had to do what he thought was needed. So I am sorry for the people who got the news that way that.

I wanted to take off Friday but we were shorthanded at work and it would have been drama. But all day I was thinking of Danny and the song Now and Forever was in my head all day:

We are the lucky ones
Some people never get to do all we got to do
Now and forever, I will always think of you

Mark and I went around the world to Australia and the first person we saw was Danny. We had a lot of fun. The last few months with all the bad hard stuff, we still had fun.

I am sorry he left so soon but I am glad he is not suffering anymore.

Very glad that today was a Sunday and I did not have to go to work. We got to see the water start at the Memorial last week and it looks good.

Spent the weekend with Mark's sister and family and did fun things and stayed away from the TV.

I hope everyone had as peaceful a weekend as possible.

Empower the victims and bystanders to stand up to bullys.

There is a new curriculum for this that is being suggested in many schools. My sister who is a school teacher showed it to me. And shared it with the others in my family who are also teachers.

Some of the thinking on this is that kids need to stand up for themselves but that silent bystanders ignoring the situation also allow the situation to occur.

We went to Ct to Mark sister (with StB in tow) for dinner and it was nice as always. Neighbors came over so more kids running around which was fun.

I do both.

I tend to vote Democratic across the board. But I do make exceptions when warranted. This year, after vetting him for crazy (aka anti gay anti abortion) I voted for a Republican for Comptroller; it was hard to ignore all the endorsements in his favor.
I also refused to vote in the US House race as the Democratic is under ethics charges and I could not vote for the Republicans.
It is much harder for me to vote Republican then it used to be. They used to be more moderate and sane.
