WHO WE ARE

At DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center, we possess an unrivaled chemical biological research and development infrastructure with scientists, engineers, technicians and specialists located at four different sites in the United States: Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., Pine Bluff, Ark., Rock Island, Ill., and Dugway Proving Ground, Utah.​

OUR MISSION

We aim to provide innovative chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) defense capabilities to enable the Joint Warfighters’ dominance on the battlefield and interagency defense of the homeland.​

DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center is the primary Department of Defense technical organization for non-medical chemical and biological defense.​

ENGINEERING

DEVCOM CBC Engineering is a highly technical team of engineers, scientists and subject matter experts who provide world-class support across the Acquisition lifecycle. By leveraging their engineering expertise and unique infrastructure, CBC Engineering provides customizable, comprehensive and rapid solutions to solve Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) challenges for the Warfighter and the Homeland.

The Research and Operations team at DEVCOM CBC is an innovative organization with unique chemical and biological (C/B) capabilities. Our research expertise and development labs efficiently execute C/B defense efforts for our nation and warfighters from discovery through prototyping, and our operational capabilities can rapidly respond to global C/B challenges.
