Porter Man

I can't believe that Porter is 3 MONTHS OLD already! It has gone by sooo fast. I took him to his 2 month appointment....last month, and he is growing like a little weed! He weighed 11 lbs 8 oz and was 23 1/2 inches long! He was in the 40th percentile for weight, 40th for his height and 60th for his head!

He is such a great little baby. I quit nursing right when he turned 2 months old. I am just not good at it. It was really hard this time to quit though. Physically it was easier than my other two kids, but mentally I just don't feel right until I stop. It is sad, but I feel like a better mom, to all of my kids since I stopped. He likes to sit in his little chair and watch everyone! He still sleeps a lot, and his cry is a high pitch scream...just like Ella's. He likes to be held and he is definitely my most smiley baby! He LOVES Mac and Ella! He gets so excited when they come around! And ofcourse, he LOVES his daddy! I really don't know what we did without him! We love our Porter man!!

Porter's Blessing

We decided to do something a little different for Porter's blessing. We ended up doing it on a Saturday afternoon at my mom's house. My grandpa DeMar has been sick, and we wanted him there, so we decided it would be easier to do it in Nephi. Doug and Stasha were blessing Brigston that same weekend, so it worked out that we would be up there anyway! It turned out really, really nice. Carl gave him a beautiful blessing! Porter is a special little boy, and we are soooo happy that he is in our family! We had cafe rio style salads, and were able to just hang out with family... it was great!

Happy Halloween!!

We had a great Halloween WEEK! haha It really was full of parties and dressing up and LOTS of candy! We had two "adult only" Halloween parties (with the exception of Porter) on Friday and Saturday night of last week, the Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, Mckay's school party on Wednesday, and then a little get together with our neighborhood before the trick or treating began last night! Carl and I dressed up as Referee's at the two parties, Mac was a football player, Ella was a cheerleader and Porter was a football! The kiddos had a great time. At the trunk or treat we couldn't find McKay anywhere. We looked all over and Carl found him in our car eating our Halloween candy that we were going to give out!! My poor kids have a bad sweet tooth, just like their mommy!haha

We went trick or treating in style this year. Our neighbors, the Homer's, let us borrower one of their golf carts! It was great!!


We went trick or treating with Nick, Sunni and the boys. We pulled up to their house, and Nick said that Sunni was still getting ready....Then she came out dressed like this!! hahahaha She was yelling, "where's my dang kids at??" haha It was so funny! Everyone was wondering if it was her real belly! It looked fake, but yep...it is real!

The other day Porter got a little package in the mail that had this CUTE little pumpkin hat in it! Grandma Sug crocheted it for him! Isn't it sooo cute!

Staheli Farms

Every year it is fun to go to Staheli Farms. The older the kids get, the more fun they have there! We went with the Lyman's, and we ALWAYS have a great time when we get together! Sunni took a bunch of great pics....SO i stole them off of her blog! haha Thanks Sunni!

We had a great night! The kids keep asking is they can go back to the "pumpkin patch"! I love fall!

2 week Update

Porter has his two week check up last Monday. He weighed 7lbs 11oz, and was 20 1/2 inches long. He gained 11oz and grew an inch!! I am happy he is growing.
I can't believe that it has only been three weeks since this little guy came into our lives! I feel like he has been here forever! He is just such a great little addition to our family!


He is a good baby. He sleeps pretty well so far too. He goes to sleep between 10 an 11 and wakes up every three to four hours to eat, but then usually goes right back to sleep when I lay him down! We think he has an allergy to something that I have been eating....more than likely it is dairy. I am doing a little experiment this week to see if that is the case. He doesn't cry very much at all...just when he is hungry or needs his pants changed. He LOVEs to be held and cuddled.




McKay and Ella LOVE him! Mac will ask me every morning when he gets up, "Mom, how did the baby sleep?" and after he is done with school, he will get in the car and say, "mom, how's the baby doing"? It is cute. Ella just wants to hold him, and feed him, and kiss him.

The TRIATHALON

Carl has been training for a sprint triathalon for a few monthes now, and he FINALLY did it yesterday! It was out at Sand Hollow. The swim is 800 meters, the bike is 13 miles and the run is a 5k. Carl, Nick and Justin did the sprint tri, and my bro-in-law James did the Olympic Tri. They are all studs in my opinion for doing it! Carl's race didn't start until 9:30, so when he crossed the finished line it was close to 11:00, and it was already almost 100 degrees! It was hot, but my awesome husband finished and looked great!!
