Somewhere in the catacombs of some European church in a city that Sark can't bother to remember the name of, because it's the fifteenth one in fewer days, Irina Derevko bleeds out on the cold, wet stone, while the rats that lurk in the shadows skitter absently about, waiting on a moment to strike. It's an unceremonious end for a woman like her, but she's made several spectacular ones in the last two weeks- she can afford an undignified one.
"I can't imagine what this must feel like," he murmurs, checking the clip in his gun. There's one bullet left.
That's all he needs.
"My own student shooting me in the head," Irina responds, her voice echoing oddly against the stone walls. If he hadn't been through this so many times before, it might have bothered him. It did, at first, but not anymore. It's like learning how to kill all over again- you don't want to pull the trigger, but you do it anyway, and the more you do it, the easier it gets, until you feel nothing. "It feels like I've trained you well."
He snaps the clip back into place, staring down at her with an expression that isn't quite anything at all, save utterly merciless. "That's a better answer than the others gave."
The rats skitter away at the sound of the gunshot.
( Don't fret, precious, I'm here... )

"YOU DON'T NEED TO BE SCARED OF ME."
A deconstruct on the relationship between Julian Sark and McKenas Cole
013- CLASSIEST TROLL EVER
Oct. 19th, 2010 03:32 pm[Sark's seated at his desk. There's a pile of shopping bags on his bed behind him. No, he doesn't want to talk about them. Ever. He looks... Almost amused.]
Remarkable, really.
A port where absolutely nothing fatal or nearly fatal happens to the lot of us and we have at least two Inmates in Zero. I suppose that saying about how some people shouldn't be allowed in public remains true.
On that note, dare I ask why the insistence on costumes? Does the Admiral really expect us all to go along with this foolish holiday?

Never have I been so glad to have not been affected by a flood.

I'm curious how many of you have need of certain plants from the garden. I seem to have acquired a job there and as my Warden isn't supervising me at the present moment, I'm curious how many of you would be willing to organize something of a trade- plants for favors. Assuming, of course, I can feasibly smuggle them out without being caught. It shouldn't be too difficult.
[[OOC: LOL. Yeah, Sark has little to no faith in Barge security, so he honestly thinks he can pull this off. He probably won't be able to, logically, but he's damn well going to try. 8|]]

I'll assume you all made it out in one piece.
[LEIA FILTER OF AWESOME]
I... Regret that I was unable to successfully achieve my objective and I am taking a rather bold leap and assuming that you did, somehow, make it back to the Barge alive. There were circumstances I didn't account for and... Well, perhaps you were right in urging me to stay behind.
You have my sincerest apologies.

Mr. Pritchett's inane rambling about ghosts aside, what we have here is a simple reconnisance mission. The lockdown can easily be explained by faulty wiring. It is a rather old building, after all. And stained glass windows in ceilings are death traps waiting to happen. The guns on the other hand... Well, I suppose we'll find out if Mr. Price was correct about the blanks or not.
We've been shown the way to the basement, ladies and gentlemen. I suppose we take our search there, rather than standing around and making fools of ourselves. We have our Wardens at our mercy, yes, but I don't fancy being locked in here forever, and I trust the Admiral means to keep his word if we don't return with them.
[Private to Leia, and oh so condescending, despite what he said about not taunting them.]
It's simple recon, Leia. Don't make too much of this.

....Did I arrive at an inopportune time?
[[OOC: YEP. SARK'S AFFECTED. AND PIIIISSED, because the way he figures it, the connotations of this flood just reminds him that HE WILL NEVER STOP CARING ABOUT IRINA. EVER. Even though she betrayed him.
So he's gonna take advantage of the flood and the fact that new people have been arriving here lately and be a manipulative little weasel. ENJOY. :| And now I'm done spamming your lives.]

008- Oh God, I've missed this journal SFM.
May. 6th, 2010 10:59 pmI suppose I should extend my greetings to all the new arrivals- both Inmate and Warden, alike. One does have to wonder if the amount of departures and the amount of new arrivals are somehow linked. I suppose that's a question the Admiral, himself, could answer were he so inclined, but.... I somehow don't see that being likely.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there have been Wardens here who were demoted to Inmate status, yes? I'm curious what they had to do to accomplish such a feat.
