She Rolled Over!

Addie rolled over for the first time April 16, at about 4 1/2 months old! She rolled over for Grandma and Grandpa since they were babysitting and I was at school. Oh it killed me not to be there in person but it was so nice to get a video. It is extremely hard to be a working Mom, not just to try to keep up on housework and school, but missing Addison. I miss her so much I'd just love to stay home with her. But in looking at our budget it just isn't possible to do so right now. I am looking into alternatives to earn money because I want to be a stay at home mommy so badly. We need to get some debts paid off and even so things would be tight. Praying for some inspiration on what to do so I can be home with Addie very soon.

Unfortunately about 1 1/2 weeks ago my current sitter had some complications with her pregnancy (she was 30 weeks along) and could no longer watch Addie. So suddenly I had no sitter, extremely stressful since I am already struggling be away from Addie and dealing with school. I've been calling around and checking everywhere to find permanent arrangements. I visited a lady this last weekend and I think we will go with her. Its so tough to find someone! Misty was so wonderful and I would use her again in a heartbeat, no drama, no fuss, no stress. She is fantastic!

Shes getting old enough and hungry enough I think we will try rice cereal in the next week or so! I can't wait to see how she takes it! Also we got callings in church today, teaching the 12-13 year old Sunday school class.

Four Month Check-up

Addie had her fourth month check-up last Friday. Shes getting so big! She weighs 12 pounds, 17th percentile. Height 23.5 in, 23rd percentile, head 40 cm, 23rd percentile! And something really exciting happened this week, she slept through the night for the first time! On Wednesday and Thursday night she slept the whole night! She slept like 10 hours!! Today Chad woke her up at 8 or 9 I think, but I think she would have slept longer! Hope she keeps this up! I certainly can use the rest : )

Addison is really starting to grab things and she is trying to roll over! Any day now!

Addie's First Easter

Moab!

We took our first trip with Addie a few weeks ago down to Moab. As everyone who has kids knows, it takes a long time to get anywhere with a nursing baby who still takes  at least 30 minutes each time she eats. And when Addison wants to eat, there is no putting her off. Her internal timer goes off and she better get food quickly! I love Moab, I just might try to live there someday! We went with Jenny, Moby and kids and Chad's parents. We hiked my favorite hike, Delicate Arch, while Jill babysat Addie. While there Addison slept 7 hours and 45 minutes one night! Whoo hoo! She is a good sleeper, thank goodness. This trip was great timing because it was right before I was going back to work, so it was a last celebration before going back to the real world. It was also over our Anniversary so we went to dinner and hot tubbing while Addie was babysat. : )
