Thor

Last week, on my way home from taking the kids to YW/YM, I saw a sweet puppy running down the sidewalk.  I stopped and waited a minute, expecting the owner to be right behind him, but no one came.  I followed him a little way down the street.  When he stopped I opened my door while telling  Jim "This might be the stupidest thing I can do".  Before I could get out of the car he jumped into my lap, excited to see me!

Ella and I walked to neiborhood.  We went door to door knocking and asking if this sweet boy belonged at their house.  We had no luck.  Before we knew it, it was time to pick up the kids.  We drove around a little more and finally took him home for the night.

The next day I took him to a vet to get scanned.  We found his owner and he went home.  We were all heartbroken.

Friday afternoon, I received a text from his owner asking if we would like to meet him in the park to play.  She explained that he was blue and wouldn't eat, but Ella and Ryder had stopped by the day before to see him and he was happy... until they left.

A visit in the park ended up with us taking him home for a longer visit.  The visit as our house ended with a text asking if we wanted him to stay forever.  We all jumped for joy.

Live True

Randi had the opportunity to participate in the Gilbert Temple Cultural Celebration Saturday, March 1. The Cultural  Celebration was preformed by the 12000 youth in the Gilbert Temple district in celebration of the Temple dedication on Sunday, March 2nd.

These kids practiced for months on their parts.

The excitement kept building as they all gathered the Saturday before the performance to practice one last time.

On the day of the performance, Randi was excited. I shoved a jacket in her hands on the way out the door.  The forecast said there was 80% chance of rain...

Image

There was plenty of security.

President Eyring spoke to everyone, then...

Image

Just as promised the rain filled clouds came rolling in. And they danced in the pouring rain.

Image

They sang with all their might. It was amazing!!

Check out Randi. She is having the time of her life!  Singing and dancing with all her heart for President Monson and Eyring, in the rain.

What an inspiring day, week, month...  This girl has the spirit deep inside her!

Cookout with cousins

Yesterday we traveled to Blanding, UT for  a baby blessing. It is always fun to spend time there and see the family.

Today, we headed to the mountains for a cookout. We had tons of fun.

It's About Time!

Ella has waited a long time for this to happen.

Image

When all the other kindergartner a were loosing their teeth my poor baby sat back and watched. I promised her it will happen soon but as 1st grade also passed with no lost teeth she got discouraged.

Today, as we were driving to meet Dad for lunch I hear a muffled calm voice say " I lotoof". I asked her to say it again. While she held one hand under her chin and the other hand up clenched around her tooth she yelled "I LOST MY TOOF". Lol.

It's about time!

My second grader has finally lost her first tooth!
