Jun. 25th, 2012 06:54 pmHey! A few things about Gamzee here that would be cool to have people give me permissions on. Is it cool if Gamzee, (Besides swearing, that is inevitable, sorry.):

* Chucklevoodoos are Gamzee's mental abilities that implant and influence fears in your character. Doing anything from confusing and misleading them, to scaring them shitless, to making them stand still in submissive shock. Here is a more in depth description if you are confused.
This ability is an ability shared by all indigo bloods and is used by the subjugglators to control all the lowbloods under them with fear. It may not seem like much, but it definitely is, and definitely can cause some damage.
Chucklevoodoo affects dreams, specifically fears in dreams. We all have little fears as well as big fears, all plagued by certain faces or items that just make us, well, not feel very good. Chucklevoodoo and can take fear someone has, or an uncertainty, or even make either, and intensifies them or implants them into their mind; The fear then burns into that person’s mind and manifests as a permanent fixture that haunts their slumber. In Dave’s case (Dave being a Homestuck canon character), it was Cal (a rather unsettling puppet). In John’s case (another Homestuck character), it was a jester-like voodoo doll. Gamzee can’t choose what appears in that person’s mind, but the chucklevoodoo itself knows best. Furthermore, chucklevoodoo can be used over a seemingly limitless amount of space and time. Gamzee not only used it to effect Dave and John, who are in an entirely different dimension to begin with, but also used it to effect their dreams in the past. So that means he can terrify someone instantly in the present, as well as make them scared of something in their past to cause their future to change. (Hey, you might be a very different person if you suddenly were scared of water your whole life!)
It's also been stated that subjugglators used chucklevoodoo on huge populations of lowbloods, making it seem like the ability can affect many people all at the same time.
It’s important to remember that chucklevoodoos don’t only scare you, but they can be used to manipulate people in many ways. It’s implied that Gamzee used his chucklevoodoos to confuse Terezi in canon, making her fears of Vriska being a bad person worse and causing Terezi to believe some pretty badly made clues left by Gamzee, pointing to Vriska, thus causing Terezi to kill Vriska. Also, it’s implied that Gamzee used his chucklevoodoos to manipulate Equius into being terrified and completely submissive to him, putting him into a shocked state that helped lead to Gamzee murdering him.
So chucklevoodoos are pretty much a mental ability Gamzee can use to manipulate people into a lot of things, from suddenly being terrified of clowns and thus, himself, to confusing them into believing things they wouldn’t otherwise believe, to making someone so scared that they’re a babbling mess or standing in complete terror.

He mentally influences your character to react in some negative manner that is usually fear based. It'd be nice to have people tell me if this is okay because he tends to enjoy using it when he's freaking out.
BUT, if Gamzee uses his chucklevoodoos in an attempt to freak you out enough to kill you and you want your character to still be able to get hit by chucklevoodoos but would prefer avoiding death, there is a leniency placed in game that your character has the potential to break from the power if they realize they'll be killed if they don't. This way you can avoid death if you prefer to but still be manipulated by chucklevoods if you want.

| TRIGGERS. Could be anything, though messing with his respective love interests (love/hate/etc/troll quadrants), will get you in some trouble. Otherwise it's hard to say what will bother him. MEDICAL INFO. Has indigo coloured blood and rather messy teeth with a slight overbite. Pretty strong with lithe muscle and has one hell of a reaction time. MENTAL INFO. He's insane, or at least seems like he might be. Gamzee is an emotional whirlwind. He'll be calm one moment to screaming the next. He also tends to act different depending on who he's with. FOURTH-WALLING. Sure. PHYSICAL CONTACT. Any and all, he'll act in a range of different ways though. So you can expect anything from hugging or choking in response. Depends on who and what the situation is, plus he'll most likely be doing a lot of touching as well. ROMANCE/SEXUAL RELATIONS. As far as troll quadrants go, he's moirails with Karkat Vantas, or at least he thinks so/is at his point in time, he has red feelings for Tavros Nitram and discernible feelings for Dave Strider. But other then his pale quadrant, the others are open. INJURE/KILL. Feel free to injure him in minor ways since he'll most likely be starting fights. For anything extreme, broken limbs, bone removal (except teeth unless it's a lot of 'em), hard head blows, and death, ask me first. DEVICE HACKING. Feel free. THREADJACKING. YES, ALL OF IT. ANYTHING ELSE. Gamzee has an ability called Chucklevoodoo. He can use it to find fears in people's minds and intensify them so much that the fear manifests as some kind of object in a person's dreams to always be there, gradually making the fear worse. If you are okay with him doing this to your character please let me know here! Otherwise I'll just ask you if it's okay to do when it comes up. |

Just a 'How's My Driving?' post.
I've been wanting to try this muse out for a while and I finally made the plunge so please help a brother out and comment here with anything you feel I should know!
Am I doing fantastic? Tell me why! I want to know what I am doing right and what I should keep doing.
Something need work? Just let me know and maybe give a few pointers or ideas to help me out.
Am I missing something completely? Be blunt, but don't just be an asshole! I want to do well and get better, so say what you need to say, just don't be a fuckass about it, aight? Aight. :o)
