Putting it out on the ether, consider this my living will. It's not official, but this is what I want:
1. Do not resuscitate. I do not want to delay the inevitable.
2. Do not bury me. The least I'll accept is having my ashes in someone's garden. I'd prefer my body being donated to science or some necros or something, though.
3. My funeral will be as such: Only the people I care about are welcome; basically, if we've been drunk together, you're invited. Multiply the number of attendees by fifths of whiskey, and no one leaves until it's gone and everyone's sobered up, because fuck that drinking & driving shit.
4. I'll no doubt die with some sort of debt, so in lieu of payment, please send a picture of my penis to anyone I owe money.
5. As far as possessions, anything that the attendees of my funeral cannot put to immediate use should be donated to any secular, non-partisan charity, or burned. |

So I was at the checkout in Bi-Lo when the woman behind me pointed at the body wash I got and asked, "Is that the shampoo you normally use, because I think it's colored your hair some." Deadpan, "I'll make a note to check the artificial colors they use" and asked the cashier for a pen. I wrote "*Check dyes in body wash" and showed the woman, smiled, and thanked her for pointing it out. |

I picked up Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting this week and I can't do anything but recommend it to others. One paragraph resonated with me:
"So it goes back tae ma alienation from society. The problem is that Tom refuses tae accept ma view that society cannae be changed tae make it significantly better, or that ah cannae change tae accommodate it. Such a state ay affairs induces depression on ma part, aw the anger gets turned in. That's what depression is, they say. However, depression also results in demotivation. A void grows within ye. Junk fills the void, and also helps us tae satisfy ma need tae destroy masel, the anger turned in bit again."
That's a major theme in my life: I'm sick of society, sick of the people in it, I'm not in a position to change anything in any meaningful, large-scale way, and I'm incapable of forcing myself into form... I also can't put it any better than Welsh did. Instead of fumbling with my words, I finally have something I can point to when someone asks why I'm so down all the time. |

I may be going to Cali-forn-i-a for work. Good tattoo artists and extra spending cash. Dimmu Borgir will be playing the Sat after I'd get there. Aquabats June 1. That'd be awesome. The mile trek on the ship yard followed by an 11-story climb every day could be fun, too.
Zombies are on my mind. Been reading the Zombie Survival Guide this week. It's good information, but I won't need any of it when the zombies come. My zombie-plan involves vodka and a handgun. I've been asking people what they'll do when the zombies come and then give tips to those that plan to live through the outbreak. One girl said she'd throw salt at the zombies... I don't think I need to tell you what's wrong with that plan.
There's a lot going on right now; take my word for it. |
