So my friend Kristi and I decided that saying that I ran a HALF Marathon kind of makes it sound like we did part of something or that what we did wasn't that great. So we came up with a few other names for it. A
SuperRun, a
RediculousRun etc. Really nothing seems to give it credit for what it is. 13.1 miles of Hell. Ha Ha!

So I ran the Hobble Creek Half Marathon with some of my dear friends (Mel, Kristi,
Kenz, Kaitlyn) on Saturday. It was fun/hard/
tiring/empowering/suicidal/emotional and everything else. The first 10 miles seemed to go smoothly (other than an emergency need to go to the restroom here and there). The last three mile kind of kicked my trash! Those last three miles go through the
neighborhoods of
Mapleton City and once in a while people would be sitting out in front of their houses in their lawn chairs cheering the runners on. When I talk about being emotional-this is the part. I was seriously so
grateful (you don't know how much hearing some cheering really helped you keep going) that I nearly started to cry with every new group we passed. I am such a baby!
Another woman was standing in front of her home with a huge bowl of cold orange slices. Bless her heart! The best thing I think I have ever tasted!

One thing that made me laugh with running is that all manners go out the window. I find myself spitting, blowing my nose (without a
Kleenex), peeing on the side of the road (I witness other doing this during the race), throwing cups and orange peels on the side of the road. Sorry mom!
It really was a good time with great company. Plus it was followed by all you can eat french toast at Kneaders. What more could you ask for? Thanks everyone for the support and for Kipp and
Ayden waking up early on a Saturday to come cheer me on!
