Where?

ImageThis last weekend I headed down to Monticello, UT for my cousin Jordan's wedding. Every time I told someone where I was going, the response was "where?". Yes-it is a little town just 45 minutes past Moab. This is my first experience with Monticello-not bad-but probably won't be going back to soon. ImageI had a great time with my cute cousins. They are the funniest cousins ever! They always have the best stories that have me busting a gut!
Congrats Jordan and Carrie!ImageImage

Introducing Cael Carlisle Squires!

Image My sister Nicole and her husband Shaun had their baby on Nov 6th. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 1/2 oz. and he was 20 1/2 inches long. He is a very sweet baby who loves to eat almost as much as his dad! So if you have tried to get a hold of Nicole and she didn't answer-she is probably feeding the child. Congrats you guys! He is adorable!

Trick Or Treat!

ImageWe had a great Halloween this year. We were actually able to stay home and answer the door when trick-or-treaters came.
Ayden was a skunk for Halloween. The back of his costume said, "Little Stinker"-very fitting! He loved his costume! The first time I put it on him he went running around the house flapping his little hands in excitement and proceeded to cry when I took his costume off.
ImageHis favorite part about trick-or-treating had nothing to do with going up to people's door to get candy; in fact he very rarely made it up to the door. He just loved walking up and down the street. Image

Frightmares

ImageWe went to Lagoon during Frightmares and Ayden seemed to have a pretty good time. His favorite ride would had to have been the tug boats. Image

Image

ImageIt got pretty cold once the sun went down and we had to bundle up.

ImageThis was my first time being able to ride Wicked (last year I was fat and prego). It was a great roller coaster!Image

Crazy Mom

ImageWhen leaving Albertson's after some grocery shopping, I noticed the cute pumpkins and thought that I should get some pictures of Ayden. So I set my groceries down on the curb and proceed to place Ayden on the pile of pumpkins. I am taking pictures and making noises to get Ayden to look at me and smile. I am sure people walking by thought I had lost it. The things we will do for a picture! ImageImageImageOh-and happy to report that Ayden enjoyed the pumpkins-there is apparently no scaring from last year's pumpkin experience.Image

Haunting Gardner Village

ImageOne night in October we went to Gardner Village for family night with some neighbors. We had a great time walking around with fall in the air, checking out the cute decor and shops.

Let Them Eat Cake

ImageWe had a mini birthday party for these three boys. They were all born within two weeks of each other. We had a great time getting them naked and letting them have at the cakes. Mason didn't last long-he apparently hates getting messy (can we trade children?). But Ayden and Isaac had a great time!Image

We were able to meet our new niece when we went to Vegas in September. She is absolutely darling and such a sweet, mellow little gal! We just can't get enough of those kids-move back here please!

Happy Birthday To You!

Ayden turned the big numero uno! Can't believe he is one! We celebrated his birthday a week later than it really was because we were out of town. We had a fun BBQ with some family and friends. It was a lot of fun, and I am sure I went overboard-but we had a good time! Ayden has a milk allergy so I had to find a cake with soy frosting. Well of course I didn't-so last minute I decided to make one. I found a cake online that I liked and tried to recreate it with the help of my friend Rebecca. It ended up being a little much-and I wouldn't recommend trying to stack five layers on top of each other. You should have seen my mom and I trying to make it stay up! Happy Birthday to my mellow little man!
Ayden wasn't too happy a bout the hat or the singing!Image
The cake. It was a fun adventure that I only have to try once!Image
He was pretty dainty about eating the cake. When he really started to dig in everyone yelled to me so that I wouldn't miss it, and it scared him-so that was the end of the cake for him.Image
We had a pinata. Ayden is taking a go at it.Image

Crazy cousin Ellie tried the pinata on after it was open!Image

The Buzz, Stingers, Bees or whatever the crap they are calling themselves...

ImageWe went to the Bee's game on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun-even though I didn't watch a minute of the game-and I never do. Baseball games are all about the hot dogs, socializing, ice cream, and fireworks.
Kipp loves this picture of himself-he thinks that his left bicep looks great and has fooled himself into thinking that he is in great shape and has no need to work out. (So I included this picture even though Kipp is the only one looking at the camera) Although-sorry Hun-I have to say that the Allen's copy of this pic must make it look better, because it doesn't look all that impressive here. Image

My cute prego sis Nicole and her cute husband Shaun.ImageAyden is kicking back watching the fireworks. I found that if I was louder than the fireworks then we wasn't scared. So whenever he seemed to get nervous I would say "Boom!" and he was just fine.Image

The Really Freakin' Long Run

ImageSo my friend Kristi and I decided that saying that I ran a HALF Marathon kind of makes it sound like we did part of something or that what we did wasn't that great. So we came up with a few other names for it. A SuperRun, a RediculousRun etc. Really nothing seems to give it credit for what it is. 13.1 miles of Hell. Ha Ha!

ImageSo I ran the Hobble Creek Half Marathon with some of my dear friends (Mel, Kristi, Kenz, Kaitlyn) on Saturday. It was fun/hard/tiring/empowering/suicidal/emotional and everything else. The first 10 miles seemed to go smoothly (other than an emergency need to go to the restroom here and there). The last three mile kind of kicked my trash! Those last three miles go through the neighborhoods of Mapleton City and once in a while people would be sitting out in front of their houses in their lawn chairs cheering the runners on. When I talk about being emotional-this is the part. I was seriously so grateful (you don't know how much hearing some cheering really helped you keep going) that I nearly started to cry with every new group we passed. I am such a baby!

Another woman was standing in front of her home with a huge bowl of cold orange slices. Bless her heart! The best thing I think I have ever tasted!
ImageOne thing that made me laugh with running is that all manners go out the window. I find myself spitting, blowing my nose (without a Kleenex), peeing on the side of the road (I witness other doing this during the race), throwing cups and orange peels on the side of the road. Sorry mom!

It really was a good time with great company. Plus it was followed by all you can eat french toast at Kneaders. What more could you ask for? Thanks everyone for the support and for Kipp and Ayden waking up early on a Saturday to come cheer me on! Image
