So, you can sometimes tell how desperately I want to keep a central stack intact by the extent to which I’m willing to place unusual shapes of black squares to make everything work. 44 black squares is a lot for me to use, but I made it work. It’s probably the most I would ever use in a 15×15 freestyle. I’ve said it before pretty often… I rarely care how a grid looks anymore, as long as I’m satisfied with the entries in it.
