Judging Criteria

  • 1. Problem-Solution Fit (10 points)
Does the project clearly address a critical issue in education? Judges will assess how well the team has identified and defined the problem, as well as how effectively their solution aligns with the challenge.
  • 2. Innovation & Creativity (10 points)
Does the solution introduce a novel or unique approach to solving the problem? Judges will evaluate how original the idea is compared to existing alternatives and whether it demonstrates creative problem-solving.
  • 3. Impact & Scalability (10 points)
Can this solution realistically be implemented and scaled to reach a larger audience? Judges will consider the potential for long-term impact and how effectively the solution can be expanded beyond its initial implementation.
  • 4. Technical Implementation (10 points)
Is the project functional, and does it demonstrate strong technical execution? Judges will look at the quality of the code, the use of relevant technologies, and the overall effectiveness of the implementation in solving the problem.
  • 5. User Experience & Presentation (10 points)
Is the solution intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly? Additionally, judges will assess the clarity of the team’s demo, written submission, and overall communication of the project’s purpose and functionality.
  • Authenticity & Commit History
Ensure commits and changes are made on April 5th and not carried over from a previous project. All changes should be created from the team and original, but use of Generative AI is allowed.
