What is #codeathonX?

#codeathonX is a flagship programme by Code for Asia – a social enterprise promoting inclusive digital innovations headquartered in Singapore since 2016.A learning-intensive and beginner-friendly tech challenge, #codeathonX invites young people from around ASEAN to be co-organisers and co-creators in applying technology for impact. With a strategic focus on Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, 8 and 11, #codeathonX is a one-of-a-kind tech talent accelerator that aims to nurture and boost people aged 18-35 in creating change using technology.

Whether you are a business, a computer science or a design major, #codeathonX is a unique opportunity for you to join as an individual or as a team to submit online and stand an opportunity to be part of a lifelong learning community with access to expertise, funding, networks and resources to propel your personal growth. Selected, individual talents from #codeathonX will be able to join our annual product-building bootcamp called CodeNomad to receive intensive training and support as they get connected to partners, collaborators and even funding resources.

Whether you are a Coder, Designer, Entrepreneur or someone who’s just curious, #codeathonX is for you!

Can I still take part if I do not fall within the above criteria?

Of course, though please bear in mind that we will likely not be able to consider you for any individual prizes.
