Who are you?

Randy and I joked forever that Jamison looked like the turtle from The Never Ending Story movie when he was a baby. Now we say the same about our dolly. The Turtle pokes out his head from the rock and says,"Who are you?" What do you think????

2 Months

Image
Jensen had a Dr.'s appointment today. Here are her stats:

Length/height-22.5 inches
46%

Weight-10#3oz
26%

Head-38.8 cm
44%

The doctor is a little concerned with her head shape. So, that means more work for Randy and I. We have to make sure she sleeps to her right side, put all of the boring stuff on her left, do neck stretches with her and increase tummy time to 3 times a day at 20 min at a time...even if she cries the whole time. If we do all this hopefully she will not have to wear a helmet. Poor little doll.

She did so well with her shots. She had 6. (1 Oral, 3 in one, so only 3 pokes.) I wanted to take her to ice cream afterwards for being so good.

Jensen is such am amazing little girl. She is now smiling and cooing. I love that she can recognize my voice. She is sleeping pretty well at night. She only wakes up once for a feeding and then goes right back to sleep. I love that she sleeps in her crib like a big girl. There are so many firsts that I cannot wait for. Especially to see what her hair will look like. But, I am in no rush. I am just enjoying every second.

Help out the wives

So, I have now been trying to better about helping out, you know...like people. So one way I am making my contribution is to send all of my unused and expired coupons to those military wives who can use them. You can find out all about it here. My friend Nicole has some of the best ideas. I can't take the credit for the idea, but it sure makes me feel good to help somebody out there. (Plus I love couponing any way so it is not like it is hard.)

Jamison and a catchy tune

*I told Jay to stop jumping up and down so he decided to go with a side to side action. It might make you sick to watch with all the bouncing and what not. Also, so sorry for the shaky camera. It is just me laughing and it makes my hand shake.

I love this side of Jamison, where he is not embarrassed and will just be himself.

Why is he so funny?

Image
When asked why he was wearing the glove, he said (looking at me like I was the crazy one), "My foot was cold!" He never surprises me.

First Day of School

I am not sure how I feel about this day. The first day of Kindergarten. Jamison has been counting down the days. Although I was excited for him, I have to admit that it is really hard for me. My baby boy is growing up. He woke up at 6:30am this morning asking if it was time for school. (He goes to school at noon.) Then after each day event, he would ask,"Is it time for school yet?" After breakfast, getting dressed, cleaning his room, making his bed, lunch time etc. He was jumping up and down when I told him it was time. I need to remember this for when he is in high school. We got there and he got to put his little bag away and then they have these cute aprons for them to wear. Today, along with math and reading, he gets to learn about science and music. He has been WAY into the solar system lately so he was so excited for that. He also plays with a clock my Mom got him that helps him tell time. He always wants to know what time it is and what we are doing next. (Oh, he is turning into me already with his time nazi and schedules.) I am so happy for him and that he gets to learn so much. My little Birdy is a little man now. I love him so much.

A cool tent for the kiddos
The other day we went and visited the Martins. They moved to a great place with lots of land and room for the kids to run forever. The property is gorgeous and right next to the mountains. We sure had a great time.

Hard work

The Before and after shot. Randy got some lawn chairs from some one at work. They are nice heavy cast iron. They did need a little bit of work though. So, with some paint and a little bit of elbow grease, this is how it turned out. I have only gotten one done because it was such a process. The exciting part is is that I was looking online for some chairs comparable and the cheapest ones I found were $120 a piece. I think all in all we got both chairs for $30.(Paint, sandpaper, drop cloth etc.) I am proud!

So Cute

My Mom and Ron got this adorable bracelet for Jensen for her blessing. It is a little big now but she will be able to wear it a long time and keep it forever. Thanks so much!!!

Dolly

Sometimes she looks like she is thinking so hard and so concerned about things. I love that about her.

Jay and his kite....too funny

It was super windy and Walmart had kites for .50 Cents. So, that = a great opportunity. (Thanks Aunt Jessie for putting it together.

Am I a good Mom? Those power lines are not as close as they look I promise.

He was so excited that he got his kite higher than the mountains.

My friend Shanda is so talented. Here is a shirt she made for Jensen. I love it!!!! I am going to try and be cool like her and learn how to do it. You can see Jensen loved it too!

Jensen's Blessing

The blessing went great. We wish we could have had every one there. Jensen didn't make a peep and was awake the whole time. Of course just like a little lady, she waited until after the blessing to have a blow out up her back and on her dress. Gramie Jeanna did a great job fighting the stains!

The dress was beautiful. Randy's mom's friend made the dress. The lace and beading were amazing.

The Kids

Cousins and Fun

This weekend Randy's sister Karen and her 3 kids came to visit. Jay had SO much fun with his cousins. They played in the back yard, went swimming, went to the Timpanogas Temple and had so much fun.

The hill was their favorite thing to do. Up and down a thousand times. Lots of grass stains to prove it! At one point Jay got a little too close and somehow managed to cover himself with mud. I think it is the dirtiest I have ever seen him.

Finally I get to start enjoying the summer. Now that Jensen is a little older, I can take her out more. I met Shanda and the kids at our fav spot for the summer, the Scera pool. School starts in like 2 weeks so we have to enjoy it while we can.
