Pool Fun

Tiffany and the kids came over for a mini slummer party. The kids rode bikes and played and couldn't handle the heat, so we dragged out the baby pool. It ended up being very entertaining. Cortland LOVED it, and felt like a big kid.

The Pearsons

My Great Aunt Betty and Uncle Don were in town a few weeks back from Albuquerque, NM. We got together at my second cousin, Shelly's house. We had ice cream and treats and the kids played hard. It was so fun to get to see them again and visit.

Guns Vs. Hoses

Randy took Jay to see the Guns vs. Hoses game. It wasn't until the next day the Jay understood what that meant. (Police vs. Firemen) He just thought he was going to see some of Dad's friends play. Later that night they got to go to a Salt Lake Real game. Jay had a blast because he loves soccer so much. But, I think he was most excited about getting a slushie!

Guitar

My Mom and Ron gave Jay this really cool guitar with an amp. He doesn't know quite what he is doing yet but he still keeps practicing! Jenny likes to practice right along with him. Hopefully we can get him lessons soon.

Vegas Part 5

The next day we were wiped again. Something about that heat and walking a lot really takes it out of you. Charla got up with me to head to the gym again. We also got to have some buddy with buddy time. We grabbed breakfast and then headed to the pool for our last hoorah. Chaundra was feeling a little sun poisoning from the day before so she opted out. :( We then headed up to the hotel room to get dressed and get checked out. I was super bummed that whole day...I didn't want to leave. We went and grabbed some lunch at Jason's Deli and said good bye to our BFF's and headed home.NOT long enough. Not just because we were in Vegas and away and having fun, but because I know it will be a while before I see those girls again. I love them like family.

FYI: Randy did awesome by himself with few complaints. I am so grateful to him and now I know he can do it much more often :) He might have some sort of small panic attack though....

Vegas Part 4

After the pool we were starving so we decided to get dressed and head to the strip. We decided upon the Paris hotel's buffet. Good choice. Muscles, crab legs and too many to count delicious things, They had a station that hand made any kind of crepe you wanted. Seriously. After we ate we headed over to the Bellagio and Cosmopolitan Hotels. We saw the water show and a lot of crazy people. Luckily these girls like to take as many pictures as I do. I don't EVER want to forget this trip!!!

Vegas Part 3

The next morning I was up at 6:00am and could not go back to sleep. I laid in bed for an hour trying to go back to sleep , but I was just frustrated so I got up and headed to the gym. It was nice to get a work out in and be back before the other girls woke up. We then got our suits on, grabbed some breakfast and headed to the pool for several hours. It was hot but the pool was cold so it was perfect. My fair friends stayed in the shade while I tried to get as much sun as possible. It was so nice to lay by a pool and not have to worry about any of my kids drowning.

ROAD TRIP!!!!

 THE BEST CONCERT EVER!!!!!

Cass and I headed down in our rental car for Vegas. At first it seemed like it took forever to get there, but then once we were there we were like...that was fast. Charla and Chaundra (Our bosom sister bff's from the time I was 14) were meeting us at the Hotel. Because Cass and I got there 2 hours early, we decided to walk the mall to stay out out of the heat. Our Hotel was AWESOME! We stayed at the JW Marriott Resort and we felt lilke celebrities really. The bathroom was plenty of room for 4 girls to get ready, which is saying a lot. The shower had a shower head coming down from the ceiling. Heaven. As soon as we got there we got in dress mode and hurried so we could grab some dinner before the show. We went to Max Brenner inside Ceaser's Palace. (I give a huge shout out to my friend Nichole who recommended all of these places to me.) The food was so good but we were so short on time we had to go back after the show for dessert. Celine's show was so amazing that I cannot even put into words. Honestly she could have sung "Twinkle Twinkle" and I would have been in heaven. She had me in tears many times and I will forever think that she is one of the most talented people in the world. I don't care who you are, you cannot deny the woman can sing. Like her music or not. The best part was getting to share it with my sister and adopted sisters. We held hands and cried together :) LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT. After we went back for our dessert....YUMMY. Then we were so wiped we headed back to the Hotel to go to bed.
