Out of the blue I am thinking about something that happened 2 months ago. My son was suspended from 1st grade! Oh my gosh how do you get suspended from first grade was my first thought when I got the phone call. You aren't even doing anything hard, the first 3 grades in elementary school seem like just 3 years of arts and crafts, but, my son, got suspended?!?! His reason was that the teacher was being "rude". I told him, at the time, rude or not she is an adult and your teacher, and if she was really rude to let me know and I will have a talk with her. I go and talk to her and it seems that my son just has this perception that she is rude. Since I did not witness the "rude" event I had a talk with my son and his behavior and made sure the school did not put this on his permanent record.

But at times I think about this and wonder - "Is my son the only kid in the world to get suspended in first grade?!?!"
