What is CodeQuantum?

CodeQuantum is San Antonio's first 24-hour hackathon geared towards marginalized genders to promote inclusivity and diversity! Organized by the ACM-W chapter at UTSA, CodeQuantum is dedicated to creating a safe hacking space for students in the tech field.

Who we are!

We are the Association of Computing Machinery - Women's Chapter at the University of Texas at San Antonio is an all-inclusive organization focused on creating an engaging academic, professional, and social network for women and minorities in technology. Our purpose is to connect students with leaders and encourage them to pursue career opportunities in computing fields and mentor them for academic and professional success.

Requirements

Your Pick

Choose from our Beginner or Intermediate tracks for your skill level! You also have a choice to submit your project to as many of our challenges too. Basically, if you're project fits in the challenges, submit it there!

Submissions

You can use whatever medium to present such as, but not limited to, powerpoint, demoing your code, prezi, word/google docs, etc.

It doesn't have to be perfect, just do your best to show off your project and what you’ve learned, just remember to keep it around **3 MINUTES**!

You can submit a project that has been strictly worked on over the weekend. The project must be submitted to only CodeQuantum 2022 an no other hackathon this weekend or your project will be disqualified. 

Things to Submit
  • A GitHub repository including the source code for the project (make sure your repository is set to 'public').
  • Any links to deployed versions of your project submitted to Devpost.
  • A summary on your project's gallery page describing the challenges you faced and which tracks you chose!

    Does your project have an excellent idea for improving productivity? Something that can be of interest to businesses that are looking to streamline their workflow. Is there a way to improve the consumer experience?
  • Creativity
    Attention to aesthetics, interaction, and user interface.
  • Technical Proficiency
    Engineering skill demonstrated & quality code.
  • Level of Innovation
    How was your problem solved? What are the ways in which you have solved your problem?
  • Learning & Understanding
    Did the team stretch themselves? Did they try to learn something new? Which technologies/APIs/products/methods did you use, that you didn't know before?
  • Uniqueness
    Is your idea original? Did you find something niche that someone hasn't thought to solve yet?
