Current Release
CollectionSpace tentatively plans two releases a calendar year. Releases are planned based on our roadmap which is developed in collaboration with community members, the CollectionSpace Program Manager, and the CollectionSpace Technical Lead.
Current release of CSpace is: v8.2, released July 2025
Current release of Public Browser is: v3.4, released July 2025.

Highlights of the 8.2 Release
8.2 is a Minor Release
The version 8.2 release includes a series of bug fixes, a handful of new fields recently requested by our community of users, and some changes to the development build process to ease future development.

Highlights of the 8.1 Release
NAGPRA Support
- A suite of procedures for the anthropology profile to support NAGPRA (Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act) work including a procedure for Consultation, NAGPRA Inventory, Summary, and Duty of Care
- The introduction of a Restricted Media Handling Procedure for culturally sensitive media files
- New fields for object category and count to assist with preparing data for NAGPRA summaries and inventories
Enhancements to Ownership Procedures
The introduction of a Deaccession and newly revised Object Exit procedure along with a Held in Trust procedure to more clearly document the workflow processes involved in the repatriation process as well as general deaccession workflows

Accessibility Improvements
Accessibility modifications to step us closer to fully supporting WCAG 2.0AA compliance.
