Hey guys, I'm new to Livejournal so I hope I'm doing this correctly!

Program I'm using: Paint Shop Pro 7/Photoshop Elements 9 (but I'm fine with any translatable tutorial, as long as there's so selective colour involved)

Example of the coloring I want to learn how to make + credit to the maker:

Thanks in advance!

Basically I want to learn how to get that crisp & bright type of coloring shown in any of the four thumbnails from the sample. Whenever I try, my version just looks washed out and a bit heavy on the blue side of selective coloring, which is nowhere near as pretty as the fourth one in the picture. (Also, are their faces/skin are airbrushed and smoothened in some way?)

The closest I've gone is this:under the cutCollapse )
