Veterans For Impeachment
We worked tirelessly throughout 2019 to build the political power to impeach Donald Trump for abusing the office of the President and selling out our allies.

Built political power through countless meetings and town halls to impeach Trump
Convinced enough members of Congress to hold Trump accountable for abusing power
Successfully ensured Trump became the only president impeached twice
Exposed Republicans who chose loyalty to a demagogue over their constitutional oath
End The Forever War
Opposing unjust war is baked into our DNA at Common Defense. That’s why in 2019 we launched our End the Forever War campaign to finally bring America’s longest war, the Afghanistan War, to a long overdue close.

Built political will to end America's 20-year Afghanistan War through national advocacy
Secured commitments from dozens of Congressional members and majority of 2020 Presidential candidates
Organized dozens of veteran lobby visits across the country to pressure lawmakers
Continuing to advocate for repealing the 1991 and 2002 AUMFs and a people-centered foreign policy
