Created by falafelovore, Time to Explain! is a winning video game from the Communication Game Design Challenge presented by the nonprofit program Gaming Against Violence®.



Time to Explain! offers a puzzle-based visual novel using an inventive time loop mechanic. It is an enjoyable and challenging resource for practicing communication skills.

In Time to Explain!, players are given a simple task: deliver their ship's cargo. In doing so, game players are challenged:

  • to become more flexible when mapping out their next strategy
  • to learn from the past by incorporating its lessons in their next cycle
  • to become more confident in their ability to recognize and adapt to communication styles.
