Garden bounty
My sons gathered and brought me this snack from the garden while I was feeding Susanna. Such a treat!

Ten Memorable Moments

1. Emily brought Isaac and Elias to visit last weekend. We had fun playing jump rope in the dining room and basketball on the toy basketball hoop downstairs.
2. While the cousins were here, we explored the Park City Winter Olympic Museum. The boys tried out their bobsledding skills.
3. I jumped up to get a pitcher for dinner, landed wrong, and broke my second toe.
4. We reached our goal to make it through the whole 2 hours of stake conference. (Will was working.) Henry did his part to keep the congregation awake when he snuck away from me and started to climb over the balcony railing.
5. Elisabeth sponsored Will and me in a 1/2 off sushi date on Tuesday night. Ahh, Sushi!
6. We ate dinner while watching the BYU-Florida tournament game on Thursday. We were sorry to see BYU lose in overtime.
7. William and Lorenzo created competition level sledding hills behind our house this weekend. They probably spent ten hours outside perfecting the runs.
8. Friday's Movie Night consisted of putting Samuel and Henry to bed and watching Princess Bride (with some muting) with William and Lorenzo.
9. A family from our ward hosted us for dinner on Saturday night. We really enjoyed chatting while watching the kids sledding in the backyard.
10. (This one is still a little too fresh.) One of my sunbeams caught his finger in a door jam yesterday during a potty break and had to be rushed down to Primary Children's Hospital where they were barely able to salvage the finger. Yikes!

Merry St. Patrick's Day

When the boys got excited about making traps for leprechauns last night, we decided to play our part. I picked up some tools while Lorenzo and William were at Cub Scouts--a mini footprint paper punch and some chocolate coins.
The traps were creative: William's labeled "The Bank" with fake money (coins covered in tin foil) and Lorenzo's, "The Candy Store" with fake candy, all with the intention of luring the little green men. Sam's propped bin and Henry's remade pizza box had lures as well.
Unfortunately, the talk of little men creeping into our house by night disrupted Samuel and Henry's sleep. Will and I were up a fair amount of the night comforting first Samuel and then Henry.
Everyone was quite enchanted by the overturned traps, coins, and sprinkled footprints this morning, though. To curb any further distress, I made it a point to confess my involvement when Sam and Henry asked some pointed questions later this morning.
