International student inquiries
Hello, I'm Meem. I have a BA in the English Language with a concentration in Linguistics. I am going to continue a master in computational linguistics. However, I know I miss the elements that are going to stand me out there from the other applications crowd as I really haven't done anything since I got my BA 6 years ago, but I am really into computational linguistics as I love coding and started to learn Python over the last year.
Anyhow, my main purpose of writing this as I read throughout the internet is that the GRE result can be a make it or break it deal for me because of my GPA is lower than 3.0 and I am very serious about getting into Georgetown University because of the nature of their program could be helpful for someone who hasn't have much CS background.
Could anyone please tell me how much should I score for the GRE to be considered as a serious applicant. or what should I do more to let my application stands out?
I thought of taking online classes or even sign up for Harvard Extension School to get an undergrad degree in CS although it'll be costly.
Let me know your thoughts please because I need it so much.
Thank you in advance,
Meem
