Question/Problem: Since installing VLC on Windows 7, I'm experiencing grain and pixelation in video files while using the latest VLC, and the latest graphics drivers for my card (as far as I know, I was sure Windows 7 installed them) .
I can provide screenshots if necessary. I know it isn't the video files as I have tried playing DVD's, very crisp/clear .avi's I had used prior to reformatting (worked fine on XP with VLC). It seems to only be fullscreen. If it helps, my resolution is 1680x1050 WS and prior to that, I had used older Nvidia drivers so I would be able to use 1440x900 since the refresh rate could go up to 75hz (60hz hurts my eyes).
Operating System, Version and Service Pack: Windows 7 Ultimate
Web Browser and Version: Firefox 3.5.3
Your level of experience (we simplify or explain instructions based on how you answer): (Beginner, Intermediate, Seasoned, Expert, God) Beginner/intermediate. I know my way around my PC but Win7 is new to me.
When did the problem start? Has it been going on constantly since then? The problem started two days ago, after I reformatted and installed Windows 7.
Any steps you've taken to troubleshoot? I've followed suggestions on the VLC forums for changing the output but it didn't do a thing that I noticed. Willing to try again incase I'm doing it wrong. I've installed previous versions of VLC, finding that 0.8.2 works fine except for the fact that it turns off Aero and makes me use the basic Windows 7 theme, which severely lags/slows down my PC.

No error message, but afaik, this seems to be a common problem with the new VLC, Win7 and ATI and/or NVIDIA graphics card users. I'm using Media Player Classic atm but I miss VLC--was great for DVD's, avi's etc D:
EDIT: HTML/auto-formatting fail.
