Geek Squad? Red Blocks?

Right to the point:

For weeks I've been trying to ignore this issue, but not only are these problems not going away, they're only getting worse (I'm finally trying to do something about it). It's a highly bizzare Internet issue.

The diagnosis is may be a "seemingly harmless" virus (maybe?).
Though the symptoms are rudely passive aggressive, in my opinion.

The leisure of Internet access is being compromised by problematic bright red censor spaces that literally block out certain, sometimes all, web advertisements. It's gone beyond web advertisements already...to things like video streams, etc..

The hardest hit is my Yahoo!pages. Yahoo even used to be my homepage, but now things have changed.

I just really need help with this

Fact:
I use Internet Explorer 7/Windows XP.
It's also been suggested that it's a major CSS issue.
(I'm so bad with computer knowledge, I've got no clue)

I'm open to any suggestions or help or further questions. Thank you.
