As far as I see this community isn't very active but I'm still going to ask you. I have to organise a computer-based video surveillance system. Thing is that I need to use multiple sources (cameras) with 20-30+ meters cables. I know for sure that my software Xeoma does support use of multiple sources but I'm not sure whether usb hubs and such long cables will still output any signals from my far-away cams. Is there a way to find it out (apart from actually trying it?)

Hello, which operating system can u recommend me for my COMPAQ N400c pentium3, 256mB memory? Now i have ubuntu 9.10 but it's really heavy for it. Thank you.
