Thank a soldier

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for serving our country and protecting our freedom. As Cory prepares to do the same thing my heart is filled with pride and gratitude. I know these brave men that are deploying are protecting our freedom. They are sacrificing a whole year of their life. Not only theirs but also their families. I know my husband will miss our son getting his driver's license, his first date, and his first high school dance. He will miss our daughter joining young womens and starting 6th grade at the Intermediate School. Our 8 year old will be starting 3rd grade and graduate into Bear Cub Scouts. So many other husband, fathers, brothers, and sons will be missing many "firsts". Thank them and their families for sacrificing so that you and I can be free. Freedom is never free.

Eagle Scout

I am the proud mother of an Eagle Scout. I can't begin to tell you about this journey. Michael has been a life scout for 2 full years. The paper work has been super hard and so tedious but so worth it in the end. If Cory would have received his Eagle Scout I think we would have let this go because it has been so difficult but since he did not receive his Eagle, he values this award so much more and in NO way was going to let Michael regret not getting his. Michael's court of honor is on Saturday and the road to Eagle Scout will have finally been finished. I am so proud of Michael. He is truly a great example to me. Congrats Monk! I love you.

Water works just about everywhere now....

Yep, that is the definition of me lately.... WATER WORKS. It doesn't even matter what it is. I am constantly asked "how are you?" I always answer what they typically want to hear, "Good." Those that ask don't want to hear about how the water is running on the simplest things, songs, flowers on the side of the road, editing pictures of the last family vacation for more than a year. I am so grateful for all the support I have and all the support that surrounds my children. But if you do ask, just know that the typical, "Good." answer is not how it is....... Thanks for all of my family and friends. I love you all for your support.
