Listening to a Dido album I haven't heard in years
Keeping the pasta on the stove boiling at just under the spillover point.
On the other hand, I'm not wearing pants, I'm watching BSG, and I plan on getting entirely too little sleep tonight and go into work in the morning amazingly drained.
Got a new bike today. Hooray for no more necessity for 2.5hour lead times on getting up for work... Now it can be a 2 hour lead time again!
... sadly, no. I'm not kidding. Someone stole my bike. From the area that mall security told me to park it. One day after I hear that the insurance is tagging my car as totaled... Good thing I've still got my feet!
In other news, if I can insure myself for less than $300/month (seriously... that's what Geico quoted me at) I think I may be getting myself a Yaris... mainly just because it'd be "new", have a warranty, and be cheap as all get out. The cheap is really what I'm looking forward to most...
It's amazing how much rest you can get in a 24 hour period when you're not trying to. It's amazing how much better you can sleep when you're that much closer and finally standing on your own two feet... ish... *checks bank account* yeah... -ish...
I think I may have some nerve degeneration on my feet. My pinkie-toe on my right foot has been numb for weeks now, and it's starting to spread all over the sole of my foot. I used to chalk it up to just coldness, but it's happening all the time now... It's a good thing I just got my healthcare card in the mail the other day.
Talked to Terry from wayback the other night. Saw I'd missed a call from him, and ended up sitting in the parking lot of the mall on the phone with him for an hour. Good Kid. We like him. It's strange to think about how much has changed until you talk to someone you haven't seen in ages. I've been here long enough that I'm starting to get homesick for my random midnight pasta sessions with elite or gaming sessions over at delita's. I'll get over it, but I may have to make roadtrips up north every once in awhile to keep myself sane. And to get bakatenshi her sourdough-clam chowder bread-bowls. She won't shut up about not having an excuse to go up to SF to get them anymore.
phone just reminded me I have an hour until work, and I need to shower and get going.
still no network connection, and now my electrical is being futzy, too (all the outlets on one wall shutting off at the same time). Doesn't really bother me too much, though. I'm not home enough to really notice it being a problem >_<.
Al's mom's birthday was last night. We sang her Happy Birthday and ate hand-made cake. I was told that I hit every key while singing... even the keys that weren't in the song.
