Memorial Weekend

We had a great weekend.  We went up to "The Glen" with Colin's parents.  We did a lot of playing on the golf coarse, swimming, and eating.  Isn't that what this weekend is all about?  We didn't take many pictures of our outing, but here are a few that we did!

Grandpa said he would pay them each $1 for
the golf balls they found.  They searched hard!

Right now I am looking at this picture and wishing
really hard that the fourth addition was in this picture!
Oh well, maybe next weekend!

Two great Ladies

Hank had a little preschool graduation this week.  Although he is old enough to head to kindergarten he will not be heading there this fall!  With an August birthday I am going to keep him in preschool one more year!  That means that I am getting him one more year before he grows up and leaves me and one more year in high school, instead of off to college at 17!  What a great thing.  Hank has been in a district preschool and we love the women who teach him.  They love him and teach him.  He loves them in return.  So, Hank take a break and we'll see these ladies in the fall.  THANKS, Ms. Chris and Ms Ann.

Hank you sure did grow up this year!  I don't know
if I can handle that.

Movies in the car...

I have had a recent discovery that is kind of bothering me.  My two boys don't know very many songs.  Ruth could sing just about any primary song and nursery rhyme.  Hank and Jack, nope!  Well, after some soul searching I have realized it is do to my laziness in the car.  We used to sing, and talk in the car.  Now, most of the time we watch a show so that I am not slammed with all the "he's touching me, he's looking at me, I want what he has." OR, the forever fun, 1,000,000 questions!  I guess you could say that I am a slacker mom, and I know I need to do right by my children, but this one is going to be hard to remedy.  This time in the car seems to be my only seemingly quiet time with these little ones around.  So, until I can find that quiet time in a closet (Niki and Kysha)  the car will do.  Besides, look at this face.  It is irresistible!

Is this really MY baby?

Do you ever have moments as a mother that you look at one of your children and think to yourself, "Who are you?  And when did you grow up?"  I have them all too often.  It makes me mad.  I feel like I have been on auto pilot and have forgotten to enjoy the journey!  Well, I had a moment like that tonight.  Take a look:

Wasn't it just last night that I brought him home from the hospital?  Now he wants to talk to me about playing with Naomi, putting on his Puma(shoes), sword fighting with his daddy, and telling me how naughty Hank is.  Maybe it is the fact that in a matter of weeks he will no longer be the baby in the family, or maybe, I am just getting really old and sentimental.  Anyway you put it I feel like it is highway robbery, and COMPLETELY unfair.  The only thing that brings me comfort is the fact that he can get old, but he will ALWAYS be my baby!  Thank goodness for that.  And Jack, thanks for bringing me such joy, and LAUGHTER!

Kindermusik Graduation!

Ruth's has been in Kindermusik since she was 18 months.
We have the greatest teacher Ms. Anne in Centerville.  She
has now officially graduated.  Which makes me feel really old.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted my kids to be
musical, because I am not.  I think I really have a shot with her.
She loves it and has dove head first into the piano!  I am so
proud of this little girl and all that she can become!

The Lean Mean Dino's

Hank has 4 cousins that are his age.  They are all such good buddies!  There's George, Emerson, Cooper, and Colin.  They have played together on a soccer team and Colin has coached them.  Tate also plays with them.  He is definately one of the boys!  They are so much fun to watch as they wrestle, run, punch, and sometimes kick the ball on the field.  This season has come to an end and we are so proud of our Dino's!  They actually won a couple of games this time around!  These boys are going to be so much fun to watch grow up and play ball together.  What a great beginning they have!

Why I love Mother's Day!

I don't love mother's day for the obvious reasons this year.  It is not because I got to sleep in or that Colin made me breakfast.  It is the sweet little things that my kids made that brought their 9 month prego mommy to tears!  Oh, how days like yesterday fill my canteen and remind of why I LOVE to be a mom.  I definitely am not reminded by the load of laundry that is coming out of every crevice in our home, but these kids are truly exceptional and I am so lucky to call them mine.  Look at what they did for me this year:

I'm sure all of you mom's out there can relate!  Thank Heaven for days like this!

Mom, I love you because....

Mom,
I love you because...
*You brought me here!
*You taught me how to have fun!
*You think I'm perfect (My Hubby doesn't care for that trait)
*You did EVERYTHING for me and 99% of the time never got a thank you (I know that now that I am a mommy)
*You are a great example of loving motherhood.
*I love to be with you.
*You make me laugh. (hard)
*You gave me a sister.
*You love my dad, and treat him like a king.
*You love my kids.
*You have always been there for me.
*You taught me about Jesus.
*You are a happy person.
*I am turning into you!  (a little scary)
*You are my best friend.
Mom, I am so grateful for all you have done, and been for me in my life!  When you are not around, I notice!  Thanks for making my life so full of Joy, Love, and Happiness!

You also know how to throw a great party.  We had a mother's day luncheon today.  My Grandma, Aunts, cousins, and sister(s) were all in attendance!  We had it at the Tabernacle, and if you know my mom, it was AMAZING!  Here are some photos:

Spring soccer is so fun!  Most of our games have been rained out, but we just love to get out.  Ruth has really enjoyed it this year, and so do the boys!

On Saturday we had a downpour.  So, we loaded up the kids and headed down to the school for the puddles!  We had a great time.  Colin was sure that Jack would be the first one finished splashing.  Boy was he wrong.  That little man loved every second.  He didn't want to come in.  We are just trying to make the most of this rainy spring!  Hopefully, this won't bring on one more trip to the doctor's office.

Mr. Wright's Stamp of Approval

SO...
Let me start out by saying that 9 years ago I entered into an equal partnership with Mr. Wright.  Having said that this blog thing has been a whole different matter.  I have been wavering as to weather or not attempt it, and have sat securely next to Mr. Wright as he has put his foot down! Letting him put his foot down I relinquished any responsibility as to why I had not yet entered the 21st century. Last night he kind of, sort of, conceded...and here I am. I think it is safe to say that I really did want to blog I was just waiting for a stamp of approval.  Why?  I am not quite sure.  Mr. Wright, I thank you!  Welcome one and all!
