First Day of School and Another one bites the dust!

I really think that the first day of school is bitter sweet. I am excited, they are excited, a routine is in view, but then you see your babies growing up right before your eyes. Could someone please push the pause button?

They are in good hands, so I guess there should be no complaints here. We'll see.

Bear Lake 2010

The tradition lives on! We have done this for YEARS. Each year we love it more. We just got back from spending a week in Bear Lake with my family. We get up everyday, wander down to the beach, and wander back in time for some yummy dinner, movies, and games. My kids have such a fun time with Nana, Bumps, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Nothing beats this family tradition. Thanks Nana, and Bumps!

My girl! She spent the whole week eating the sand. I threw the towel in on the first day, not a battle worth fighting.

Same old thing, one more year!

For the past couple years we have done the same birthday party. We get a water slide, a snow cone man, and two cakes, and ALL our friends! It is the most fun we have all summer!

My snow cone men bailed at the last minute, so I called my sister to help me with the snow cones so I wouldn't have to worry. She showed up in her Dog on a stick outfit and stole the show! What a great lady she is, and her Ruth is crazy about her!

Piggies!

Finally, Piggies! She is so yum.

"Now I've had the time of my life"

We just spent 4 days in San Francisco with some of the most fun people we know! We ate, shopped, saw Alcatraz, ate, saw Wicked, ate, walked around the wharf, ate, and biked the Golden Gate Bridge, and ate, spent some time in cabs with the CRAZIEST people in the world!!

It was our 10 year wedding anniversary this month. What a great man I am hitched to. Thanks to you for 10 great years, and here's to many, many more!

Temple trek to Vernal Utah

Thursday afternoon we jumped into Rasmussen's RV, and started our trek to Vernal. We stopped to eat in Heber City at a yummy Mexican restaurant. We arrived in Vernal at 10:00 pm. We stayed at the Sage Motel. Quite an experience.

We woke up early the next morning, visited the Temple at 7:30 am, and rolled back into town at 12:00 pm! Wow! What a whirlwind. I sure do love these treks, and the focus it has taken in our family. The kids LOVE to go, the grounds are beautiful, it is a great teaching opportunity. Even though we were gone for less than 20 hours, we had a wonderful time.
Image
We made our trip so quickly that we only let the kids jump out of the RV to get a quick snapshot in front of these dinosaurs. Who drives all the way to Vernal, and doesn't do the dinosaur thing? People who work too hard! (Colin)

What a handsome man!

Ruby has really grown up through this whole thing. I can't believe it!

The temple has given us a great experience and unifying time together this year. Who would think that when Colin and I are the only ones endowed.
