Early Christmas

Dallin & Alexa opened their Christmas gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Chapple on Monday. It is fun to have an early start (it's tradition to open presents early from G&G Chapple).

...and pink chapstick (notice it is all around her mouth). Alexa has loved having the chapstick. She has continued plastering her lips and mouth with it and some toys and play kitchen too. It was taken away for a day but given back. So far she is using it the right way now. :)

Dallin lost his first tooth

Dallin (6 1/2 yrs. old) lost his very first tooth! He's excited to tell his 1st Grade class tomorrow. His permanent tooth has already grown in behind the tooth he just lost. We've been trying to get this tooth pulled since Lance was born (6 weeks ago). Now the questions are pouring in like: "How does the tooth fairy know that I lost my tooth?" and "How much money is the tooth fairy going to give for my tooth?" Does anyone have any answers for Dallin?

Lance's Baby Blessing

Lance was blessed in our ward this past Sunday. Jared's parents drove up from Houston for the day to attend Lance's blessing. Jared gave Lance a beautiful blessing that I'm sure he will treasure his whole life.

Dallin & Alexa love holding Lance. In fact, Dallin gets really giddy every time I tell him that he can hold Lance. He doesn't even care if Lance is crying.

The blog has now begun...

I'm amazed at how children motivate you to do things you never thought you would. Just a short time ago, I glanced at some blogs but never thought twice about them. Now I check blogs as often as I check my email (which is too often to admit!). Since Lance was born (on October 24th), I've had the desire to start my own blog. And now I finally did. It took longer than I anticipated because of Lance being in the NICU, my recovery from the birth, my major toothache with subsequent root canals, Thanksgiving, main sewer drain blocked completely, and on and on. Mind you, this has all taken place in just 5 weeks of time. So read on -- there are many more posts yet to come!
