Sep. 12th, 2010 09:02 pmDid you know, I asked, that all swans in England belong to the Queen? I'm not even sure who comes up with useless bits of trivia in magazines, and if they ever do any research or just compose pretty-looking sentences. But I read this once.
No, he said. I wonder what happened when England no longer reigned over a country in the past. Did that liberate all swans? But they look a bit snobbish - I think they might still be monarchists, scoffing at their new political surroundings.
True, I said. I always found coots to be classier. I like their style.
Alright then, he declared. The Queen may keep her swans, but I hereby declare that all Eurasian coots shall be yours.
