so yeah i am way behind on livejournaling. lol @ how outdated this whole thing is, that 'katrina aid' is the first link on the right. i mean i know they still need help, but come on.
meanwhile, lilah turned 6 months right before christmas. she now sits up on her own extremely well and loves to eat food. her favorites so far are bananas and pears but she eats a lot of other baby foods as well. still breastfeeds too, of course. she's over 17 lbs now. grabs at everything. wants to put it all in her mouth. i think she has begun teething, though no teeth are visible. still very little hair, but eyelashes for days. she laughs out loud often, and smiles at everything. she enjoys being thrown around. and loves her dog. she's pretty awesome. its cool being a parent.
maternity leave is over, i am trying to work part time from home. its not easy. still taking lots of pics of the babeface, here are some of the most recent.

I think when I find the time, I am going to create a new blog. I will post a message about it to my LJ if and when this actually happens.

for the last few weeks i have occasionally felt a vague fluttering known as the 'quickening' when the baby is active. but now, when the baby moves around, i can distinctly feel her doing stuff. mike can feel it too, if he puts his hand on my belly when she's really active. its even to the point sometimes where i can look down and actually see the movement, like something pushing out from under my skin. crazy!
