I complained about this to tumblr when I got my The Avengers DVDs a few weeks ago: the Region 2 DVDs don't have the audio commentary. Joss Whedon's audio commentary. Because Disney is a bunch of dickbags who decided to push the DVDs out early instead of waiting an extra week or two?

So: if you come across it in a downloadable form, let me know?

I just want to listen to Joss talk about things. :(

I've had over a week to process how I feel about The Avengers - I mean beyond OMG YAY IT IS THE BEST CAN WE SEE IT AGAIN RIGHT AFTER THE CREDITS ARE OVER - and seeing it again reaffirmed and strengthened basically all my feels, especially those of OMG YAY IT IS THE BEST CAN WE SEE IT AGAIN RIGHT AFTER THE CREDITS ARE OVER.

I'll write cut-taggable stuff maybe later today.

However, I was struck by this as I was catching up on Revenge: my Clint/Natasha feels are surprisingly similar to my Emily/Nolan feels despite the pairings glaringly obvious differences.

And: ahahahaha the only two fandoms that I can comfortably hit in my head at the moment are all about the vengeance.

And2: I need icons for both my show and my movie. To the internets!

Merlin this week was MAGICAL. I was just charmed stupid by the episode and ( spoilersCollapse )

1. Can we talk about how awesome Revenge? It my new soapy (unguilty) pleasure and I love it to bits. That and Hart of Dixie are my girl soaps for the season.

1.7. I love Nolan the most. Oddly, mostly because he reminds me of Topher from Dollhouse. Except he has ... morals.

1.9. I also enjoy Nick Wechsler's face. He was always my favourite part of Roswell.

2. Merlin is having the best series its ever had. ( SpoilerCollapse ) in 4x03 came as a total surprise to me! And that whole episode was just wonderful.

And good things keep happening! And everything and everyone keeps being really, really, really pretty.

3. This week's Supernatural has me vaguely interested again. Because apparently the only things I care about on this show are ( spoilerCollapse )

I have various thoughts and ALL THE FEELINGS.

Most of my thoughts can be summed up in what I told greenet yesterday:

Caroline is my most favouritest.

On account of being the best.

Onward to s3! Where I'm pretty sure that Caroline will continue to be the best as that is her nature.

1. These are the fannish things I enjoy most in the universe right now: Leverage (I haven't seen this week's yet!), Suits and Torchwood. Also, Pretty Little Liars, True Blood and White Collar. Also greenet is making me watch Teen Wolf. Because she's evil. And apparently it gets not bad at some point.

I finally caught up on the last six episodes of Supernatural, because the thing I sometimes I forget about that show is that I love that show. And that Dean makes ridiculous faces and sometiems there are childish jokes that make me giggle like a child, and that sometimes ( spoilers mostly about most recent epCollapse )

ILU SHOW!

My favourite Doctor Who/Torchwood video is Papa Don't Preach by fan_eunice and trelkez.

And this isn't a rec, per se, because I'm sure y'all have seen this now three years old vid. I'm just saying. (Also, if you haven't, please do watch it.)

This vid makes me happy / amused / always a little bit in love with Ianto. And it's a good reminder of times past, because I loved those episodes of DW that were used in the vid. I may be a practitioner of the Church of Moffat / Eleven is the Bestest, but I loved most of what RTD gave us. And this vid reminds me of that, a little bit.

Not to forget: there's something absolutely perfect about Captain Jack Harkness (or John Barrowman) vidded to Madonna. It just fits.

Note to self: get Torchwood icon out of storage. It's almost time for s4!
